Clapalong Batheo Failure to deliver as promised, Internet |
28th of Sep, 2011 by User968437 |
In a recent promotion event, the company encouraged players to purchase game gold through a promotional offer that included virtual game gear for substantial investment. Although an appropriate purchase was made, the company changed it's offer at the end of the promotional period, and did not deliver as promised. When contacted, the company representatives tried to convince me that I must have misread the offer, even to the point of saying nothing had ever changed. Sadly, another representative admitted that they changed the promotional, and then tried to swear that the changes did not include the layer of purchase made. Clearly the company has no intentions of delivering as promised. Anyone playing Batheo by Clapalong should reconsider the purchase of game gold during any promotions, as the company appears to feel no obligation to honor the commitments under which purchases are made. |

Castlot did the same thing. Also their people told me I could play the game on facebook using facebook credits (even their home website has a facebook login), and despite the 4 different castlot entities visible on facebook either are dead links, a theorically working game with 1/3 of the game covered in ads regardless of how you access the game (mac/pc linux/windows firefox/safari/IE) one that doesn't take FB credits and one in the wrong language which is not the server I was told takes FB credits.
So basically they told me to get 5000 facebook credits so I could buy diamonds, but ... I am stuck with 5000 facebook credits. I feel silly.
Also anyone trying to buy a 'BACKPACK' because card pages are reffered as BACKPACKS gets an item that could unlock one page of the BACKPACK if only you bought 188 more of the item (correct me if I'm wrong, but that's 94 US dollars more cost than expected). Considering people buy diamonds to get cards counting on that one feature to work as explained in-game, even people who eventually buy cards because they want to get THOSE diamonds half-rotted as well as they can't keep cards as the merging process will merge an entire backpack content at once. (aka the money you already paid is no good until you pay us 94USD more)
Also their autodraw cards feature doesn't unlock deck C multiple times like doing it manually does as unlocks don't stack, making the investment of that feature a ripoff not every gamer will notice (it REDUCES the value of your cards a lot making you miss out on rares).
Not to mention their enhancement process announced % of success at the smithy is flatly wrong at higher levels and another case of "your money is only worth less than half what we told you it would be worth before you paid, please pay again".
I could not verify the rumor that there are 2 extremely powerful players per server that are actually bots, to force people in the top 10 to spend more, I expect the rumor to be false but I wouldn't be honest of me to say I was sure it was false... considering their ethics levels reminding of farmville first year with the cellphone scams by tattoo media, the reason I disbelieve the rumor is that their AI coding skills are too pathetic. |

Castlot is by clapalong, for clarification. (with 8 shell companies or licensees and 5 of them consistently claim credit for bug fixes and inventing the game yet will refuse payment for each other and are using different payment services, that clarification is needed. I suspect Batheo is much the same.) |
