| I can't believe what this company is doing to me and my family. My husband was laidoff for a year and we got 3 months behind. They hired a lawyer and started foreclosure proceedings, putting the ad in the paper stating that I owed a bunch of money and my house was in foreclosure. I worked with a financial counselor to get them to set up payments, almost double my original payments because now I have to pay $2000 in lawyer fees. My payments were due on the 1st of every month and I set it up so that they took the money automatically. Two months into my payment program, they dropped me because my escrow account changed, without notifying or giving me any other options. But they continued to take the double payments. The phone calls started all over again, 3, 4, 5 times a day. Letters, 3, 4, 5, 6 a day. Notes on my door --- what??? Somebody drove all the way to my little town to put a note on my door. Now, I have been making double payments since March of 2011 and it's September and I am $4000 behind because they are tacking on late fees every month even though I am paying my payments (double) and they won't let me back in the program. I am trying, but it took me several months to get the program set up as it was, now I have to go through it all again, and pay the late fees, and now they talking about more lawyers fees, even though I am making double payments and trying to get into a program and trying to talk to them --- I have called 25 times in the last month and a half. It's always the same thing, has your situation changed, why did you get behind, when can you pay us the $4328 you are behind. You haven't made a payment since April -- what? no payment since April? Where are my double payments I have been making? Where is my money? They want this house. What I would love to tell them is that the last house they foreclosed in this little town originally sold for $112 and sold at auction for $36,000 after foreclosure. It had a new septic and a new furnace. My septic is shot -- must be replaced before anyone can move in here. And, my furnace is 40 years old and dying. So, they would be lucky to get $30,000 and I owe $84,000. I guess they want that $54,000 loss because I have done everything I can think of to keep my house, and they refuse to work with. By the way, my husband and I both have full time jobs. Good jobs, and we going to loose our house, because I can get anyone to talk to me. Please, don't deal with this company. Don't walk away, run away from this company. They are the worst. I hope the federal government eventually figures out what this company is doing, because they need to be stopped, now. |
