CITIBANK is illegally ruining my credit Dallas, Texas |

Yesterday, I attempted to get a new cell phone from Consumer Cellular. It was denied due to a negative credit report from Equifax. So I checked my credit report at Equifax. The only negative thing on my record was from a CITIBANK account I closed more than 6 years ago. I had the CITIBANK account through PAYPAL for less than 4 months. I had charged to the card only once, an item for $59. I paid the balance in full and on time and closed the account as I found CITIBANK unsatisfactory. But CITIBANK has been reviewing my credit monthly ever since. Though I owe them nothing, don't have an account with them and haven't applied for one. I am sure what they are doing is illegal and certainly unethical. CITIBANK has also been sending me credit applications about once a week for these past 6 years. I promptly tear them up and put the remanents in the trash. I would never have an account with CITIBANK or any of their affiliates. CITIBANK is apparently the biggest ripoff in the banking and credit card industries. I have filed a dispute with Equifax. I add Equifax also has me with an employer in Dallas Texas some 27 years ago. I live in Oregon and have been retired for the past 22 years. |

I recently purchased out my FMCC lease. I wanted to keep my car and after 4 perfect loans with Ford Credit I was getting 17.99% and couldn't understand why. My first car was 10.99% my second was 7.99% and my lease was 1.5% so why am I getting such a high rate?
Well it would appear that Citibank was reporting a 30, a 60, and a 90 day late on a credit card that I never had.
I have and will NEVER do business with them. So why are they on my credit?
I only use BofA and FMCC for credit or banking. Thanks Citibank for your fraud!
Recently I also started talking to other people about it and at least 4 of my neighbors have had the same thing happen. After checking there credit they realized Citibank was reporting bad credit on them too..
I called Citibank and in 3 days I got a letter saying the bad mark had been removed but now I am in my laon and FMCC wont renegoiate the rate so I have to pay a higher rate becasue of this.
This is not fair!! I urge anyone NOT TO DO BUSINESS WITH CITIBANK! |
