Cintas Lies, fast-talking, and poor service! Painesville, Ohio |
1st of Sep, 2011 by User658153 |
I use Cintas to service our paper towel and toilet paper needs in our bathrooms. When we first started the service the slaesman wanted to sign us up for a 60 month contract. He told me that "you can cancel at anytime, don't worry" He did not mention that the contract would auto-renew for five years if we did not notify the company in writing 60 days prior to the "agreement" ending. Which is a far cry from "you can cancel at anytime. When we first started the service we were "as needed" The driver would come and ask if we needed any product. If we said no we were not charged. then there was a switch in drivers and we were no longer "as needed". We were being charged for 2 casses of product which was way to much for our small business. Then I called to try and adjust back to "as needed". They prceeded to put me on 1 roll of TP and 1 roll of paper towels, which wasn't nearly enough to get through the month. I called the office and again requested to be put on as needed. The lady said "okay that shouldn't be a problem". We were neve put on as needed again. It quickly began to be more work and expenxe than the service was worth. I decided to call and cancel the service. when I called the receptionist told me she would make a note on the account. I heard nothing so i decided to call back a week later. This time i was told that she can't cancel the account and I need to speak to an account manager. I spoke to the account manager. He said the salesman that made the cancel promise was no longer employed their. He was not willing to cancel my account. He said they do no cancel accounts even if the salesman told you that you could. I found this odd becuase I freind of mine and fellow business owner also became fed up with the poor service was able to cancel his account only 2 years before my request. I would not recommend using this company for your small business needs. Their service should be what keeps their cstomers, not a contract that they used lies to obtain. |
