My nightmare with Cincinnati Bell began on June 10th when I heard they were buying out contracts with your current phone company, I thought my bill with t mobile was high so I was excited when I thought I could get a cheaper service. The guy I spoke with was nice and assured me they would pay my termination fees with t mobile and that my bill with them would be around ninty something a month for three phones which sounded great compared to 150 a month I was currently paying. Let me just add that I had just had a baby and had not been able to work my normal full time hours so money was tight. Well I get my final bill from t mobile which was 800 dollars, 200 per line for termination fees on top of a couple other fees. I go to Cincinnati bell to make sure they were going to pay this, they said no they only pay 100 per line (would have been nice if I had been told that before hand). I did not have that kind of money. I spoke with customer service at t mobile and they told me I could come back to them and have no fees and that i had 30 days to get out of Cincinnati bells contract, by this time it was July 6th, I was so relieved, I had 4 more days to get out so I immediately went to the store to return the phones. I don't remember the guys name at the Crestview Hills store but he was soo rude and insisted I had to pay 35 per phone to return them after a lady through customer service over the phone said I would have no charges, the guy was so nasty I left the store in tears and called customer service back, the lady I spoke with was nice and made notes in her computer that I did not have to pay these fees, so I go back and return the phones and was assured there would be no termination fees since I cancelled before thirty days and that I would only get a final bill for a half a month being as I already paid 70 for the first half of the month. For my first payment I set up automatic bill pay over the computer (Big Mistake) but since I had cancelled service I didnt worry about it. A couple of weeks go by and I get a bill for 368.00 , there were termination fees, five numbers, two of them were same number but I was being charged separately, and other fees I did not understand. By the time I got this bill the money had already been taken out of my account, 368.00!! That was like all I had! I spent over two hours on the phone with Cincinnati Bell customer service (on hold most of it). First lady says I did not cancel untill July 13th so I had to pay termination fees ( I cancelled on July 6th). Second lady I spoke with said yes you cancelled on 6th but you only had two weeks to get out of contract. Finally I get a hold of the original lady I spoke with in the beginning and she remembered me and assuring me that I would have no fees, so she agrees to send me a refund check for 197.00. I asked why am I still paying 146.00 she said for the month of service you had.( I had already paid 70 for half the month) I was so tired of being on the phone with them I just accepted what I got and was glad to be done with it. The other day, I go to use my bank card and it was denied I get home to look on my account and find they have taken another 92.00 out. Again I call, to avoid the runaround again I asked for the supervisor I had spoke with before, I was told she was taking another call and would call me back in five to ten min. I waited for over an hour then called back and was told she left. Real nice!! so the guy I speak with says the money would be returned to my account in two to three days, a week later its still not there, I call yet another time and waste another hour of my life dealing with these people and being on hold, this time lady says there is nothing saying that you are getting a refund, Wow! Now they say they are sending me a check for the money which I have to wait another week or two to get, which has really put me in a bind. Cincinnati bell has been nothing but a Nightmare! I wish I had never left tmobile to begin with, I never had any problems with them. |
