Chryaler Financial CFC DEFICIENCY RECOVERY listing a paid off van as a charge off, Internet
12th of Apr, 2011 by User362450
My 2005 Chrysler Town & Country was the third new Dodge/Chrysler in a row that I purchased. I was WAY upside down in the van, but keep making the payments until Chrysler declared bankruptcy and no longer had to pay my family the 125,000 they had coming from the sale of their dealership. I decided at that point to go ahead and let them repossess it. When the next payment was 3 days late they called and I told them to come get the van. Instead they contacted my sister (the owner of the sold dealership) and made her write a personal check to pay for the ENTIRE van. The current payment was then 10 days late. Within a few days she got the title to the van. You would think that is where it would end. Chrysler Financial changed the reporting of my van from CHRYSLER FINANCIAL to Chrysler Financial Credit Deficiency Recovery and removed the original listing. They also listed my paid off van as a charge-off. When I disputed this they changed it to Paid was charged off. Funny how they can charge off a van that is paid off BEFORE it was 30 days late
