Christian Prayer Center Unbelievable in today's economy Seattle, Washington |

I stumbled across this gem today looking for a local church food pantry. This site lures desperate, hopeless, poverty stricken people from around the world to place a request for prayer. Sounds like a great idea hey? ask people through they Internet to pray for your needs. The site first asks you to write down what your problems/needs are. Then it asks you how important is your requests? The next asks you how much of a "offering" can you give? The prayer can not be posted unless you give a minimum of $9-$1,000 or more. The prayer requests that are posted are mostly comprised of families that are on the verge of homelessness or people who are terminally ill and are terrified of what tomorrow will bring. This is heart breaking, people in such difficult phases of life and seeing some organization attempting to suck the few pennies these people have left. The icing on the cake is: you attempt to close out the site, and up pops a slew of other predators. Example 1-800-ambulance chaser and 1-800-bull crap credit counselor scam. Here is my free prayer request: Dear God, please shut down these predator scum bags. |

How sick and disgusting are these people. Charging to pray or share? Telling you the amount you must send...I have joined this dear person who wrote in detail. They are ruthless in their demands. God surely sees greed and deception. Bless those who need His Love, and may they find it willingly from God's servants. |

I, too was shocked to see the way this site operated. ...taking advantage of vulnerable people... although it did appear, when you cancelled out of the site, they took your prayer request... but who knows what happens to it after that... ...better off going to the site of one of your local churches and making your prayer request known to them... |

I too have filed a complaint with the WA State Attorney General's office (I hope it helps that I am a WA state resident too). This is an exploitation scam, and it claims to be a ministry, and asks for donations on one of it's pages BUT, on check out the people running it I found out it is incorporated, in WA State, as a for profit corporation. This is a big no no! And a red flag of a scam. Also be aware the same PO Box is used on another web site, also registered to the same for profit corporation, that claim to ordain you. For $99 you can get ordained by answering three simple questions. Very fishy! Steer clear of these people! |

I am hurt and confused, as well as WAY TOO GULLABLE! I paid the $99.00 fee to become a recognized ordained pastor, as well as an aditional $21.95 for 10 laminated Wallet sized copies of the Ordinaton Certificate, on April 4, 2012 and have yet to receive. My intentions were sincere, as I want to marry my son and his fiancee in 22 days, in a small private ceremony in the gardens in our back yard. I am so afraid tha they will not be legally married, although I am trusting that our local Clerk of Deeds will recognize(accept) my Ordination Certificate when my son and his fiancee go to apply for their Marriage License. My own Pastor feels that it will be recognized in God's eyes, as all I am doing is officiating at the ceremony, and that the Union of two individuals is really about the committment that they make to one another before God. I have worked since 1972 in Christian Ministry in many different capacities, from teaching both the public and private school systems, doing Pastoral care at many hospitals, directing Youth Choirs and ministries, working as a Counselor at a Boarding School for Lakota Sioux Native American children, being a member of a Community of Franciscan Brothers, etc. I feel duped, embarassed, and disheartened. All I want, with all of my heart, is to honor and lift up the name of Jesus and to help spread his Love so that others might come to know Him too, and to be saved. Can anyone please give me some guidance? In the love of Jesus Christ, YS33 |
