Anyone who is planning to get into the vending business and has no clue about vending companies and locators, let me fill you in on what I've learned already! I am a stay at home mother of two.I so badly want to work again, but due to high cost of living (in Hawaii),not to mention babysitters,my hard earned paycheck would go to straight to a daycare. So come mid January of this year,I was on Yahoo looking up business ventures, when I stumbled onto vending machines and a company called "Change Is Good Vending Group" a.k.a."Change Is Good".Well,a man by the name of Eddie (a.k.a. Ed Edordy) picked up the phone and started such a great conversation and seem to be such a pleasant, honest, good person. His mission statement on his website talks about how they (the company) treats each customer with respect, and honesty,etc..blah..blah..blah. After much conversations,I started to believe this man was trustworthy.I wired money from my bank over to his bank after one week of deciding to make the purchase of two machines (a total of $7,825 to be exact). He was telling me how this particular machine is great and how businesses love it b/c its a snack/soda combo and doesnt require too much space.Ed said,I know a guy by the name of Jay Baird and he's great at what he does and he'll get you a great location.I thought, Wow!He's really looking out for me. So come the day that my machines are going to be shipped from Ed to me,Ed tells me in an email that he has a surprise for me.He said that his manufactorer let him "upgrade" me at a $700 value more than from what I paid for each machine for FREE!He sent photos of my "upgraded" machine and me knowing nothing about vending machines,I thought GREAT!Thank You!And was just stoked to get the machines here and running. I received my machines Feb.25. stored in my parents garage since they had the room.Once I got locations,I placed my machines.Only now I have two machines and three locations,so I decided to price quote other companies for a third machine to see if I was over charged with Ed,and after speaking with a manager of Suncoast Vending,I discovered I was the vicitim of a "Bait and Switch".The so called "upgrade" I received from Ed,the man said, was a down grade and after taking the company name and info from me,he called me back to say that Ed used to work for them, but got fired and there is a RED ALERT on him now. Meantime, I get a call from one of my locations and the owner of the business tells me the drinks aren't cold.My husband and I go to the location within 30 minutes and after calling the manufactorer of the machine,we find out there is a problem with the fan.ALREADY?!!!!I said.I was emailing Ed back and forth because he contacted me after I found out about him working for Suncoast Vending (the president of Suncoast contacted Ed after my convo with the manager)and I told him about my machine needing parts already.Ed said, its probably a small minor technical issue.I said,Yes,but already. The machines are new!I shouldn't be having any problems, not yet!!!Then I asked Ed,Are they new?I never received another email again. This is the most unethical, deceitful thing a person could ever do running a business!!I'm so mad, that when I go onto his website and read how the company is honest, and respectful, the word Honest get me to cringe. He is so far from honest and I have taken this up with my the BBB,my bank, and will file a report with consumer affairs and the police.I plan to inform as many people on the internet to watchout for this guy.You may get your machine, but question if it's even new.He made great profit off of me and from now on,I will be using companies that are accredited with the Better Business Bureau. |
