Okay, where do I begin? CGFNS (Acronym stands for "Commission for Graduates of Foreign Nursing Schools) International is anything but a short of monopolistic organization that specializes in various programs and services that are usually extended to an unaware individuals who have received Nursing training in countries outside the U.S. but aspire to be licensed to work in the capacity of Nurse in the United States. This organization basically sells evaluation services, visa screening programs and certification programs amongst other things. What their patrons don't realize is that they DON'T NEED CGFNS to prepare for NCLEX (nurse certification exam) as well as the fact that CGFNS is NOT THE ONLY company offering such services. Any aspiring individual should first decide which one of the 50 U.S. states they want to work in and then contact their respective Boards of Nursing to initiate the process. Anyway, my strenuous relationship with CGFNS had begun in 2007 when I ordered a Certification Program from them which resulted in completion of my order albeit unfavorable to what I expected: Upon review of my educational credentials my academic transcripts, WHICH WERE ACCEPTED (Please note that!), had been found deficient and I have received a letter from CGFNS stating that I lacked 2 semesters worth of academic disciplines befeore I could qualify to sit in for NCLEX. Fast forward to October of 2010, I have resolved to get back to my pursuit of getting licensed
as an RN in the state where currently I reside. It was very natural for me to re-open the file already existing at CGFNS and have ordered a Credential Evaluation Service (CES) in order for the report to be subsequently served to the Board of Nursing of my respective state. Since my education has already been reviewed once, I have pinned my hopes high on your organization to complete the
review in the timely manner and then forward the results to the Board of Nursing. IT WAS A WRONG MOVE! Ten weeks have gone by since the last document they received and not once for over 10 weeks did CGFNS even look at my file, they have also had the insolence to REJECT THE DOCUMENTS THAT WERE SENT TO THEM SINCE 2007 THAT THEY APPROVED BEFORE.
No one ever contacted me. No one has tried to make it right. CGFNS TOOK MY MONEY AND NEVER DELIVERED.
Needless to say that he agreement that I signed while purchasing their service contained a non-refund clause that their lawyers have carefully crafted so that anyone who was swindled by CGFNS would have no recourse!
I could go for hours explaining all the poor attitude, rudeness, lack of transparency and complete disregard to people that ACTUALLY PAY MONEY for their services, but instead I IMPLORE ALL OF YOU FOLKS THAT ARE READING THIS REPORT TO STAY AWAY FROM CGFNS!!! I REPEAT: DO NOT ORDER ANY SERVICES FROM CGFNS International!!! IF YOU DO, YOU WILL REGRET IT! DO YOUR RESEARCH FIRST. THERE ARE AT LEAST TWO MORE ACCREDITED EVALUATORS FOR NURSING: ONE IN CALIFORNIA AND ANOTHER ONE IS IN FLORIDA. Please save yourself the nerve, the frustration, the elevated blood pressure as well as loss of money! At the moment of this writing I have filed a complaint with Federal Trade Commission and Pennsylvania Attorney General to see if anything can be done about these b**tards.
