Home alarm company wouldn't stop monitoring us when we moved and already had a new company with new home.they charged us for new home and old address for over a year with out our knowledge. Becsuse They would not allow us to change over to new co. I agreed to let them monitor our new home in writing with the form they conveniently faxed to me to sign and retain them as our alarm company. When we were in financial trouble due to the economic downturn and we were even selling our home at the time I got behind on payments due to the economic downturn and losing 3/4 of our income during the years 2009 and 2010. I spoke with a representative in April and agreed to pay oustanding pmt to end contract in April 2010. They did also pay us for the overcharging after several months of us finding this info out. They said we would not be monitored by them anymore. In august, 2010 they called and asked if I wanted to start using them again with a discounted rate. I said I would discuss it with my husband and get back to them. With all that was going on at the time I forgot to call them back. Never thought we were being monitored by them all this time. I never called even used the service in all the time we were under contract anyway. In november I received a notice from collections staing they would not monitor us any longer and we owen them 268.41. i tried to let them know what conversations I had had with their reps and she said unless I had received a confirmation number from them that i still owed them the money. I never received a faxed form for me to sign like before. How convenient for them. I had very snotty and arrogant representives who were very condescending over the phone . I would caution anyone who is considering using this company. system isnt easy to use and management is not customer oriented. They are greedy and out for themselves. |
