I worked for this company for around 6 months and I have to say it's a wonder that they are still in business and have not been shut down by the government. I had NO sales experience when I was hired. I told them up front about this, several times. Each time I was told that I would have plenty of time to learn the "ropes". I spent around $1000 to create a LLC, advertise, and clothes that were all mandated. After a 4 week learning period, I was assigned a dealer code. I was told by everyone who I talked too that it would up to me as too how much I wanted to work, and how much I wanted to make per month. I'm on a disability income from the gov't so I don't need much and they were told that too. I was told over and over that I was going to be an "independent contractor". Boy, that is a joke. You have to punch in on the computer, if you're late, then they will take your shifts away from you. They would call sales meetings that were "mandatory", on Sunday nights. I go to church, and I can tell you that this organization is not God-friendly. If you don't attend these mandatory meetings then they will take your shifts away. Well, I will clarify that statement. If you're in the "in-crowd", then you don't have to go and there are no consequences. After a couple of months, I started to realize that this company was not about putting their customers first. They claimed they were during the interview process. However, I saw young men (who thought they were all going to be millionaires by the time they turned 30) clapping and giving high-fives to each other when they over-charged a customer, sometimes by over $100. I was told that if I didn't make $3000 during my last month that they would terminate my contract. I saw the writing on the wall and chose to not work. I had heard that they would keep your last paycheck in case of some magical deactivation's. However, they cannot/will not give you the list of names so you can validate these deactivation's. They owe me $500. However, by the time I file in small claims court, I'm only going to make around $100. I took this job because it was a good opportunity. I have spent the last 20 years serving my country and I just couldn't rip people off or badger them into buying stuff they didn't need. That's the problem with CellularSales of Knoxville. They hire all these young people and fill their heads with thoughts of being millionaires and then unleash them on the community. There are no principles for the company even though they may preach otherwise. As an example, you sign a contract with the company and one of the stipulations is that if they choose to terminate your contract they must provide you, in writing, said termination. In my case, they haven't. They won't even return my phone calls or emails. The only good thing that CSOKI does is the share system. That is if someone makes a big sale then it gets split between everyone working. However, if you have 5-6 people, a hundred dollar commission quickly becomes minimal. Go onto YouTube and do a search for CSOKI and there are some good videos that will explain it better than I can. You're NOT a independent contractor and it's a wonder that the government hasn't done anything with them. Another sign of someone being in someone's pocket. It's NOT up to you to determine how much you want to work or how much you want to make. The Team Leaders make a bonus if you make a lot of money. In order to make money you have to overcharge customers. Stay away from this company for both work and if you're in the market for a cell phone.
