CASTLE CREDIT
Castle Credit Rain Soft Deception in lending lean on my home , Internet
13th of Jan, 2011 by User338667
We recently installed a Rain Soft system in our house After signing up for a water system check up at The Home Depot near our home

The system work great !!!!

The problem is with Castle Credit Corp, This has got to be the worst Credit company in the world. They mislead you and lie to you no matter whats right

We were refinancing our home and found just before closing that Castle Credit had a lean on our house. I called and asked why and was told by their customer service rep that it was in the contract. After reveiwing the contract and seeing nothing that stated a lean would be put on our home to secure the loan i called them back and reported what i had read

The customer service rep was rude and when i asked to speak to a superviser he transfered my call. I was very unhappy and after a long conversation with the ( superviser ) The man on the phone told me he was just a Customer service rep that was told to act like a superviser. If this is how they disrespect their employees its no wonder they treat customers the way they do

I was required to pay 150.00 dollars and send in a copy of the original and new finance agreement for the refi and wait for their approval for me to refinance MY home.

They cost me 3000.00 because of the time it took for them to approve they refinance put me into the next month. My loan officer called them and was put on hold for 30 min and when the customer service rep got back on the phone he told him that he didnt know why his boss was not answering the phone She is just sitting at her desk doing nothing.

I understand the use of a UCC-1 form to protect the equipmenti purchased. which is not what Castle Credit uses

They chose to put a lean on your home rather then just protect the equipment against non payment .

I have never been late or missed a payment to cause such an action to warrant a lean and was told that they put a lean on every loan no matter who it is and wont change the way they do business to only issue a lean on a questionable loan .

DO NOT enter into an agreement with this bottom feeder company who may seem to Help some who may not be able to get credit through normal channels and make those of us who can pay the price.

Birds of a feather flock together!

I had a very similar experience.

My Mom and I were at Home Depot looking at grills, and I entered what I believed to be a Home Depot contest to win a free grill. A few days later, a woman called to say that I qualified for a free home water test after not winning the grill. I accepted her offer, and a man showed up and tested the water the following day. It was a Sunday, at six p.m. He tested our water, said that we were basically poisoning our kids, guilt tripped us, and then refused to leave our home until we agreed to let him "work up an offer" on what a water system would cost. The man was still pitching and guilting at 11:30 that night! Anyway, I finally filled out what I believed was a Home Depot credit application, it was on Home Depot carbines papers. I read it over, and it was a credit app. The man said he would run my credit and CALL me the next day with the offer of terms.

The next evening, I returned home to find a man installing a Rainsoft water system outside my home! When I asked him what was up, he informed me that he had orders for the install, showing me my credit application and some work order. I asked what my payments would be and he said that he had no idea and that I should call my sales guy. I immediately tried to call him but the number he had given me was (of course) out of service. I then called Rainsoft at the number the installer had, and the nasty lady I spoke with informed me that I would need to speak with my salesman, who would be back from vacation in a "week or two". I told her to cancel my order, and she said that she did not even have any paperwork for me. While I was on the phone with her, my installer left my front yard.

I continued calling Rainsoft, and I continued getting the runaround. My salesman never called me back, even when I left him messages through Rainsoft, the only way I now had to contact him. Not two weeks later, I received a bill from some company called Castle Credit Corporation for $9, 999.00! It ordered me to pay monthly payments of 153.00. I immediately called them, and I was then told that they were simply my creditor and I had to take any issues to Rainsoft. I have been in this never-ending cycle ever since. Rainsoft has me by the balls and Castle Credit does not care. Both companies' reps are a nightmare to talk to, and if I am even a day late Castle Credit begins calling me. I have voice mails recorded where they have called me 23 times in a 24 hour period. I have been told that they have a secured lien on my home. One collections rep even claimed he would take me to court and TAKE MY HOME.

What a mess.

I have spoken with an attorney, and he says it may cost me what I owe to fight this. Let me tell you, I will never enter another contest nor will I ever allow someone in my home again.

I went through this myself. It's so frustrating to know that companies can get away with this. We need to ban together and help others avoid this. Unfortunately, the only way to do this is to help others avoid using companies that use Castle Credit as their financing company. I don't use Facebook, but I know it's a powerful tool. We just need to get the word out. In my scenerio, I even got the BBB involved and they couldn't even do anything. The response I got back from Castle Credit was a very legal one. My wife was just forced to quit her job due to medical reasons. We don't have the money it would take to fight this. Castle Credit is simplya big bully with lots of power. Only some with lots of money would be able to help fight this.

I'll be honest, I even sent an email to Erin Brokovich.. You should too. If she get's enough complaints, I'm sure she'll take them on. Just be sure to include that you have had contact with others and that you are not the only one. Get this out to everyone you know.. and have them do the same. We can take them down.

Awful company and will never do business with them again. Their interest rates are outrageous and without any mention to us (the buyer) they attach a lien on your home which you will only find out about if you try to refinance. I have paid this debt down from 7, 000 to a bit over 3, 000 just in the year that we have had this loan and they still stated they would charge me to subordinate the loan. Without paying that I would not be able to refinance my home. I hope that was the correct term but either way this company is a complete rip off! BUYER BEWARE! NEVER EVER DO BUSINESS WITH CASTLE CREDIT!
