On October 31, 2011 I got a call from my work that Cyber police/ Daniel Boyd call and had the call me to call him if I didnt I was going to be arrested. I called and got someone with a heavy Indian accent, he proceeds to read and afivadt That I owed Cashnet $1500. that I never paid, and if I didnt pay it they would call my employer and tell them as well as have me arrested. I was switch to a supervisor "Kathy" also with a strong Indian accent, she reads the same script, and acted shocked that I did not have the same papers in my hand that she was reading, she demanded the $1500. in full, I kept telling her I didnt have it, she then demanded $750. I told her I didnt have it I could do payments, she kept arguing, she finally agreed to $250. a month and agreed that my first payment be paid on November 4, that I needed to wire the money, I said no, then she wanted my bank information, I refused to give it, she then told me to do a greendot money pack/card. On november 4 they started calling my employer saying they were Cyber Police, well the rumor got started it was about child porn! I almost lost my job because of the call and rumor! I called supervisor "Kathy" she then told me I could n ot use the card I went off on her, she finally took the card and while I was on the phone with her her flunky kept calling my workplace. She then demands I send a fax with personal info agreeing to her terms. I also told her that I needed a copy of the charges that I owe she kept giving me the run around, saying she was doing me a favor, my not turning it over to the legal department, that I would get the statement when the balance was paid. Today November 17, I have hired an attorney, and have disputed the $250. charge to the greendot card, these are the rudest and crudest people I have ever spoken to. Aparently they have stolen information from cashnet and are pulling this scam.
