CAPITAL ROOFING - SCAM COMPANY - BEWARE!!! MARK COLLINS, JOHN HALL, MARK COLLINS ENTERPRISES, SCAMMERS, BEWARE!!!!! FRAUD, REFUSED TO PAY for SERVICES |

I have worked at Capital Roofing since May of 2011. They paid me $225 a week draw as I sold roofs in Charlotte, NC. Because it is an insurance restoration company it takes about 6-8 weeks to make commissions, I have 4 children and a wife that stays at home with them, living on $225 was almost impossible but I did it because of the promise of commission. I have done roofing before and new it was good money so we sacrificed and moved to a smaller home even to make this job work. Issue #1: After about 2 weeks, Mark Collins forced me to sign and new contract moving me from being an employee covered by workers comp to a subcontractor with no benefits, he said if I did not sign the new contract I would be fired. 3 days later I fell off of a roof while on the job and Capital Roofing did nothing to help me with the hospital bills or anything and said I wasn't covered under their insurance. Issue #2: I had referrals call in to the company and John Hall the manager of the Charlotte office stole them for himself, when I brought it to his attention he refused to even share the commission with me. Issue #3: I was told to tell customers we could pay their insurance deductible and then I found out this is insurance fraud! Its like everything this company does is shady! Issue #4: I still have customers that have paid a hefty deposit and Mark and John refuse to schedule the install of the roof. I have other customers that didn't give a deposit, thinking this would protect them but once they paid the agreed amount, Mark and John came up with reasons why they still owed $2,000+ and threatened to put a lien on their home! Issue #5: Once I started getting final payments from customers and being owed commission, Mark and John informed me that they were keeping 100% of my commissions to pay back the draw! Now anyone that has ever received a draw knows this is not how it works...they should keep a percentage of your commission, normally 20% to pay back the draw and you get the rest of the commission. I brought this to their attention and told them that I couldn't live on $225 a week anymore, I really needed part of my commission. I even suggested they keep 50% of my commission which is almost triple the norm but they refused to pay me anything at all! Issue #6: Finally I was about to be out of the hole and they would have to start paying me commissions on the rest of the roofs I had sold, so how could they get out of this, being the snakes they are? Simple, they informed me that they were cancelling our agreement and keeping all my accounts for themselves and paying me nothing! Unbelievable! I worked my butt off and sold more roofs than anyone else in the company and this is the thanks I get, they refuse to pay me! If you have ANY dealings with Capital Roofing or Mark Collins or John Hall, BEWARE. They will scam you by any means necessary. If you are customer....RUN!! Even if they install your roof without a deposit they will force you to pay more or they will put a lien on your house. They are crooked and ruthless and should be avoided at all costs!!!
