When you look for hotel in Skt. Petersburg, you probably sit by a computer. Don´t do that. I did that being in the city, I even did that together with a Russian doctor. We found this "hotel"

I went there, I needed somewhere to sleep, so I said okay I take the room for three days and I paid 6.000 rubles. Then the doctor came and checked the room. It turened out it was not cleaned, and the toilet was brooken, so we decided not to sleep there. We imidiately complained to the concierge. You may no that in Russia nobody makes a decision, so we just left her with the keys and sleept at the doctors place. The next day we made a written complaint in Russian to the manager. He said that we could pick up the money, minus the toilet that we somehow had brooken.. Tuesday there were no money. I never received any money at all. Booking.com Russia told me they would look into the matter. They never did. Therefore this complaint is also about booking.com Russia. If you buy hotel in Russia go by foot to see if the hotel really exists.
