Received an e-mail at work from AirTran Airline: call H.R.Dept for Airline Travel Program/Land Package detail: 6D5N w meals for only $199pp, 5 star resort at 888-246-4571 Reservation Code: AIRTRAN757 IT'S A SCAM! You get in touch with a sales representative, they tell you the dates you want are good for travel, then after they charge you, they tell you that those dates are not good for travel, then they proceed to charge your card extra taxes and fees (even though they said that there weren't any more fees after they gave me the first total amount) |

The same exact thing happened to me with the vacationhelpdesk.info. One of the worst experiences I have ever had. |

Yup. I got screwed the same way. I have to pay $99 for taxes and gratuities $250pp for the upgrade (they don't have any non upgrades available) and $300pp peak season fee (almost the whole year is peak season), all on top of the $199pp. They say it is non-refundable, but is there any way to get your money back? |

Regrettably, the same thing also happened to me. I thought the fax advertising the vacation came from my human resources department, but it was a fraud. then after they got my $800 I found out 1. The hotel wasn't available, 2. there is a $400 per room surcharge for peak season, (and yes, it is always peak season), and 3. I have to sit through a 90 minute sales pitch for a "vacation property". When I demanded my money back, they said, "Sorry, it is non refundable" My credit card company said they would only cancel the payment after a fraud investigation actually proved they behaved frauduantly, and this is just on the edge of outright fraud. How can people who do this live with themselves?? |

It's a scam!!! Stay Away!! Sometimes it is seriously too good to be true people. The offer came through as a fax advertisement while I was at work...I thought it came from human resources also but they didn't know anything about it when I asked them. These people know what their doing..don't let them rip you off!!! |

I am in the middle of this scam and so furious! I feel like there's nothing I can do but just keep giving them money so that I can go because I've already paid too much already! In too deep! Please tell me if you have actually gone to the hotel they sent you to and if there are any extra fee's that i should be warned about? Im actually thinking about paying the extra $200 upgrade fee just to go or should I just call it quits and loose my $498 all together? I bought it last year and cannot get money back by visa as it is past 60 days. If we team up together, maybe we can really report this as a scam and fraud? Please email me at [email protected] and let me know my options/advice. Thank you so much! |

My husband and I went to a resort but yes we had to pay for the hotel taxes which were 199 per person and peak season fees becauses we traveled in Feb. ALmost every month is Peak in Mexico. But we actualy went and the resort was awesome. There are always hidden fees and we had to go to another resort for a timeshare, which they are very pushy and after 2 hours of us saying NO repeatedly, we were lead thru the back of the resort and then hounded more about why we didn't buy the timeshare in the van ride back to our resort!!! In Nov. I got a call from these people again offering me another vacation for 2 people for 199, i added 2 more people for a total of 4 people for $398, and my paperwork even says so. I just called the other day and they told me I did not pay for 4 people only 2!!! They are such liars, then they told me that the resorts on the website are all available. I chose one then they said that it wasn't available ever!!! I'm not sure I will be shelling out anymore money to these people. Yoiu can actually go on a trip but you will definitely pay some money!!! |

I was promised a 6 day 5 night stay at 4 Seasons in Maui for $400.00 for two with a free upgrade to a ocean view room (a $100.00 upgrade), as was a friend of mine. As time went, I went to their website and all I could see was Cancun vacation resorts. I called their rep a number of times, very rude on first 4 or 5 calls. Finally they gave me the name of "my rep" and number. She has been nice, but tells me, they have not motels yet in Maui or Hawaii, to check their web site in Mid September (2011). Well, that date has gone by and still the same resorts in Cancun. My friend, who booked for 4 families out of his pocket, who was also promised a room in 4 Seasons in Maui, when he called to reserve, first they informed him that low season (no additional costs) was April 16th to 23rd in Maui. When he attempted to reserve within those dates, they informed him there were no rooms left, but he can choose from a motel in Cancun. I'll update my post in December when it's time for us to book. I told my wife, if nothing else, I sure learned my lesson, and it cost me $400.00. I'm thinking about closing my credit card account in case they try to pull more out of my account. Wish I found this site before I registered. Lesson learned, don't believe what you hear, especially from Cancun Luxury Travel. |

Unfortunately we fell into this trap as well. We tried to dispute the credit card charge with citibank, but they said that the vacation people told them they WOULD honor the deal and that there were plenty of vacation options for us. So then when we called the vacation people back, they said that since we were in dispute they couldn't help us...really? How stupid is this! Now the number and website has changed. Does anyone know the scammer's new website or phone?
thanks! |
