Canadian Mortgages Inc - Bryan Jaskolka Negigent disclosure/Derogatory and Condescending Treatment/Slippery Conduct Toronto, Ontario |

I sought financing for a HELOC through Bryan Jaskolka at Canadian Mortgages Inc. When he ordered the appraisal for my house (see my post about Metrowide Appraisal Services and Patrick Smith), he was negligent in informing me of what my rights and duties are in regards to the appraisal and especially in the instance that the appraisal is horribly flawed-which it was. The following are some of my formal complaints being made to the mortgage broker governing body CAAMP: Derogatory, condescending and disrespectful treatment of me.
Neglect to disclose any conflicts of interest with Metrowide Appraisal Services.
Neglect to inform me of my rights and duties in the transaction.
Failure to protect my interests while not disclosing that he had abdicated that responsibility.
Failure to be clear about where his professional obligation ends with regards to the appraisal company.
Failure to follow through on his promise to release the appraisal.
Further, I was told that because I had created 'ill will' with the appraiser, he would not be able to deal with Metrowide to have the correct appraisal rendered (supposedly he could have otherwise)---which clearly flies in the face of expectations that both industries are governed by strict standards, unbiased by particular circumstances. As a whole, I found that Mr. Jaskolka failed to adhere to minimal tenets of professionalism such as full disclosure and honorable conduct as would be reasonably expected of a member of his industry and that it was done out of negligence.
The more unsavory complaint that I have which is unarguably egregious in its' violation is how I was repeatedly called 'hun' and 'sweetie' in a phone conversation where he flagrantly ripped into me for contacting the appraisal company (Metrowide) without first contacting him. BEWARE!!!!!!!
