We responded to an advertisement of a car at Acura of Peoria, owned by Larry and Cecil Van Tuyl. We called the dealership and spoke to Caleb Watkins who confirmed that if we came today we could get a 10 percent discount below the advertised price. We arrived and took the car for a drive, and agreed to buy it. We were SHOCKED by the invoice that came back after Caleb Watkins "checked" with his boss-it was inflated by almost 20 percent, by thousands of dollars for things like "reconditioning"-which is a fancy wash, and paint sealant, and other ridiculous ripoff add-ons that I hadnt heard about since the 1970s. We negotiated a price and it too was changed, again by other ridiculous add ons. Eventually, after hours and hours of this theater, including a visit from another salesman pretending to be the "sales manager" we finally got to an agreed price. When we were made to wait for more hours for the "business manager" who used high pressure tactics to try to sell us more ripoff "services" like "gap insurance" and so forth even though we said we dont want any more services, we just want to buy and leave. The CD player had no casette in it so we couldnt check it. The door key wasnt the one with the power lock on it so we couldnt check it-and now two days later the doors need to be repaired for $500 and the CD Player needs to be replaced for $200. Unbelievable. Fish stink from the head down, and this is 100 percent on Cecil and Larry Van Tuyl. I hope somebody with a lot of money, or a democrat attorney general sues these guys for their last dime. Caleb Watkins is the worst salesman we have ever dealt with in our lives but I guess he fits in with the Van Tuyls. Avoid this place like the plague. Jeff Phoenix AZ
