C Ford Transport - Lisa Zimmerman |
Theft of Service |
10th of Mar, 2012 by dwkey |
Like a previous report from another driver, I also had theft of service by Lisa Zimmerman, owner of C Ford Transport. I was a builder in Colorado before the housing industry tanked, and decided to try a different line of work. We were struggling, but decided in Nov. 2011 to purchase a new truck for $25K and a two car hauler. Again, Lisa stated that she would get the best paying loads. She was totally unreliable in getting decent paying loads and many of the loads didn't pay for the fuel to transport the cars to another state.
On Feb. 27th, I noticed a shackle was broken on my trailer and I was supposed to pick up a load the next day. I knew it wasn't safe to transport anything until it was repaired. So, I called Lisa as soon as I could to let her know. She had me drive 200 miles out of the way the next morning to check out the car and move it to an auction for easy pickup when my trailer was fixed. When I got close to the pickup location, I was told that the car could not be moved prior to transport due to the importance of the automobile. I told Lisa that I would pick it up the next day and could guarantee that it would reach it's destination of San Antonio by the deadline. There was absolutely no reason that I couldn't have made the deadline. However, the following morning I was told that I was terminated and that she had gotten another transport company to take the load. She later admitted that they had not gotten the load there in time.
She sent an official termination letter 5 days later. She stated that because another C Ford Transport company driver had damaged his loads of Feb 29th (the day of my termination), she didn't need to pay me the $2400 she owes me. We believe that she had let the business insurance lapse and used my money to pay for the damages that the other driver had. She terminated 2 other drivers on the same day and owes them $3800 as well.
Lisa Zimmerman claims to be a christian woman that would never steal from anyone, but as you can see this is exactly what she is doing to multilple people. Please don't let her scam you as well. If you are a driver, transport broker, dealer or individual, please don't use her services and let her steal from anyone else. |

This driver Danny was broke down every other week or had to take off work for personal reasons constantly. I paid the insurance for him while I never in the time he was lease to C Ford Transport ever worked a full 7 days or generated enough to cover his insurance. He was leased thru his brother, Glenn and even Glenn was off for month at a time with break downs and again, I was paying the insurance. Also thru Glenn, his son, Randy was leased on to C Ford Transport. Glenn was responsible for paying both drivers as he 1099 each one this past year. His son damaged a 2011 mercedes benz and cost 3400.00, a motorcycle that cost 380.00, another motorcycle that cost 335.00 and a colbalt of which he left car locked up in front of a customers appartment with a busted window that cost 440.00 locked up with a note in the car to call him for payment arrangements of transport fee and keys. Also the driver collected a broker fee of 150.00 cash of which he never turned in nor reported to C Ford Transport and upon recieving a negative rating from the broker I paid out of pocket 150.00. I consulted and attorney and have paid all damages to each client listed above. As for the load that this driver is talking about, I booked the Friday before he was to pickup and the driver knew the importance of this load. Not only did he take off Monday for personal reasons, he didnt tell anyone about truck being down until 6pm that evening leaving me trying to take care of the customer. I paid another transport company to take the drivers whole load and paid out of pocket 350.00 to get the load covered and still received 2 negative ratings due to this driver. Had it only been the 1st time breaking down I would understand, but this driver was broke down every other week as stated above.
Randy then contacted each of the clients listed in the reasons for termination threatening them. Three clients have given statments and shown call logs and text messages.
In the past week I have received a letter listing the son receiving a ticket for passing up a weight station and having an inspection done where he received a violation that was to be turned in to C Ford Transport for not having the vehicle strapped down correctly. Straps were loose on vehicles being transported. I have taken all this to my attorney.
The three drivers were terminated for unreliable, neglegence, violation of safety of vehicles while in transit and theft.
Everything in this statement can be backed up with documentation. |
