Anyone looking to enter a loved one at Brookdale at Chanate - STOP! Do not allow your loved ones to be exposed to the reckless and harmful management at this facility. Jessica Manriquez, the manager at this care facility,is a viper who waits for the weak to prey on. My mother was living in a room which was uninhabitable with a sewage leakage problem and mold. When the problem was addressed, a huge hole was left in her ceiling with only plastic covering the area, and at night she could hear and see mice and rats running across the plastic. She was fearful of reporting this problem, as she was a HUD resident and was very afraid of being kicked out of this facility. She had reason to feel this way, a fellow HUD resident was caught smoking in her room and was immediately kicked out by orders of Ms. Manriquez, without so much as a warning. There are numerous other problems at this facility, and it angers me that this woman is allowed to continue her villainous acts against the weak and fearful. Something needs to be done aboutrelieving Ms. Manriquez of her duties.

I worked with Jessica and she is a great person. Jessica is a awesome manager who really cares about the residents, staff and customers. I know the person who wrote the orginal rip off report. Jessica had no interaction with this family member or resident. Jessica transfered to Chanate a week before this resident moved out. In addition, this family member called the state on Chanate. The state did not find anything wrong. What this person wrote is not true.

Jessica never evicted any HUD resident. The prior manager Dan Devine evicted a HUD resident for smoking. That resident had been warned several times and continued to smoke in her apartment.

If you have the opportunity to work with Jessica, take it. She is a great person and I would love the opportunity to work with her again.
