Brondell, Inc Brondell Fradulent Marketing Techniques. Shoddy Product. San Francisco, California |

I am absolutely livid at this company. My 80 year old mother had one of their Swash 1000 installed because she is pretty much decrepit with Alzheimer’s and needed a bidet. Whoever my dad talked to on the phone at Brondell spewed out a bunch of lies about how they are the top awarded brand of bidet and how all other brands do not compare. Sounded good so they bought one. When it got installed, it was ice cold water. They repaired it for free. It still did not work. I don’t know how many exchanges were made but ultimately it ended up in a refund. My dad does not have the time or energy to keep uninstalling and installing and shipping and receiving and testing and calling for this company’s shoddy product. Why would they sell such a horrible product that refused to even work correctly for one day? I’ll tell you why. I went to their website and looked at all of their so-called awards. The majority of these “awards†are BUYOUTS. Yes. They paid thousands and thousands of dollars to obtain these awards. These awards do not by any means indicate that their product is superior. This seems like an unethical marketing technique to me. It was misleading for them to push us to assume that their product would be the best for our mother. I also looked at the reviews on Amazon to see if anyone else had a similar problem. Somehow I get the feeling that the majority of their positive reviews were planted. Everyone knows that ‘On the Vine’ Amazon reviewers are those people who get paid by companies to write extensive reviews and that’s why they have all that time to write all of those reviews- because it’s their JOB. Brondell is a company that hypes itself up and fluffs itself out as much as possible but in reality their product is probably worth $50 in quality. The features and functions that they list are identical to several other brands so why in the world would they get a real award? They wouldn’t. So, that’s why they paid money to get awards. Do not be fooled. We were and unfortunately in the market for a better bidet. We will probably get a Coway or Inax. Brondell tries too hard undermine their competition and their techniques come off as cheap and dishonest. |
