This individual offered me a job making $400 weekly doing general office tasks and keeping up on his rental properties. He said, "Duties and Requirements: Process all owner distribution batches print checks, statements and mail on a timely basis. Assisting with management of employee's. checking store supplies and placing orders Process rental applications in Resident Data. Type various letters ,Prepare 3 Day Notices. Retrieve and process faxes Send unpaid rent notifications to tenants. Deposit and monitor payments of all owner contributions." He said the job was to work from home, that should have sent up flags right away but I really want new employment. After I answered a few basic question about my avaibaility, how often I check my email, etc. A second email came asking strangr question lik: gender, NATIONALITY!?!?!, What kind of office supplies I have, as well as a Yahoo messenger ID which I do not have but he insisted I obtain. He said I could start work taht week and he would email me a few tasks. I said wait no I would like a formal interview first before I start work, he claimed he was out of town. Why would you hire someone without meeting them first? After some research I found his website which he claimed to be, "under construction" was actually very quickly thrown together, one page, and generic. The domain name was for sale. I emailed him back a final time saying I wanted a formal interview before I began these tasks, asked how i was to recieve payment, and refused to answer further questions until I was given more specific information before I went out telling my mothers maiden name, birthday, and nationality. As you may guess I never heard back from Kelvin Moore but am certain his motives are not good ones. My best guess would be identity theft. |
