Received "first" quote for roughly $1800.00 to move my items from VA to UT. Truck arrived late to my home. After items were loaded onto truck, was presented a "bill" of nearly $7000.00. Explained to foreman that I did not have that kind of money. Foreman called his office and said they would move my stuff for $5000.00. At this point I have already given up my home, my job and my cars were already on their way to UT. Also, I had a non refundable plane ticket for UT leaving in 36 hours. I had no choice but to agree. Gave the foreman a check for $3000.00 as a down payment. After I sent a complaint email to BR Movers that night, I received a "second" quote for roughly $3000.00 to which BR Movers will not honor. It has now been 4 weeks and BR Movers can not tell me when I will receive my items. Before I hired BR Movers, I was told that they have a truck leaving for the west coast every week. Today I found that BR Movers has only 2 trucks and never intended on actually moving my stuff. I have found that they have given my items to ASAP Relocations for delivery. Call to driver from ASAP Relocations revealed that he also could not tell me when my items would be delivered. Have had to contact many federal agencies for assistance. Also wrote several "complaints" on various internet posting boards
