Bobs discount furniture has gone way down hill in terms of quality, service and overall ethical business practices. Purchased a $1000 leather loveseat from them, comes damaged. Every 2 weeks thereafter for 2 months they have redelivered even worse damaged garbage. Finally we decided enough is enough and yesterday after delivering the 5th damaged piece. They took it away and we were supposed to be credited on our credit card. Well, unlike most good retailers some discourteous customer service person says they will not credit our card for at least 2 weeks. huh? This is honest ethical dealings in retail, hardly. Tried to be reasonable & asked why this is the case. Got a smart answer. asked to speak to a higher up and was told that is that regardless who you talk too. I have called my credit card company & as I thought this is not normal business practice so they are putting thru a charge back on my account & Bobs will have to account for this. My next call will be to the bbb as well as consumer affairs & the state attorney generals office. Hey Bob Kaufman or Ted English (pres. & ceo) if you are reading this, you may want to rethink where your company is going with this crappy way of dealing with the general public. It may lead to the downturn of your empire that you built based on lies, deceit & cheap chinese damaged furniture. Shame shame shame on you & I will let everyone know who I come in contact with about the way you deal with your customers. Run away from bobs don't walk.
