BMW Victim
BMW Victim BMW sold a defective vehicle and now does not want to replace it Riyadh, Internet
22nd of Dec, 2010 by User964214
BMW dealership Naghi Motors has sold me a defective car with constant SZL issues which disables the safety and drive control systems plus affecting other areas.

With my car it started within the first 4 months since I bought it new.
The wipers turn on automatically and do not turn off until the ignition is turned off.
All sorts of errors start to popup:

Airbag and belt tensioners functions are not working
DTC is off
Repeat Gear Selection
Drive moderately...all sorts of crap
None of the steering controls or the horn work

The problem is that the vipers stop in the middle so imagine this error happens while you are driving...how bad does it look driving a 7 series like that? The dealership has replaced the SZL module at least 5-6 times since I bought it. Twice the problem came back right after collecting the car after repairs. The dealership said that it is related to the defective left front door control. Is there anyone expert here who agrees with me that this car has manufacturing fault?
I have raised the issue with the dealer and BMW Germany but to no avail.
They always respond that the dealership will fix it as per BMW standards...I wonder what kind of standards are those? They do not know what is causing this to happen again and again. I guess the electronics within the car are too complicated for BMW itself. I have experienced other issues with the car since the first day I bought it...one of the wipers was bent and I had to out of my pocket...warranty did not cover and it happened also in the first 4 months...where I live it does not rain...so I never used them...but once there was dirt and I turned on the wipers but the left one was not cleaning...go figure that it is not covered under warranty. The car also was vibrating since the first day...after 4 months of back and forth they figured out that the were over pressured and this is normal as they have to release the air from the to bring it to normal pressure during PDI...which didn't happen.
Since the car was driven for few thousand miles with the vibration...now it still has some vibration.
Dealership claims that this is because the steering is too sensitive...the car is fine. I have sent emails to BMW management but they do not even answer...either too arrogant or ignorant. How safe is it to drive when all those safety and other errors pop up? If there is an accident would the airbag function?...the errors says they don't. Is there a class action lawsuit against BMW for this?
