BLUEPRINT ENGINES SOLD BY JEGS.COM Ripped Out central, Nebraska
5th of Aug, 2011 by User171673
I saved my $$ for months...then it was time to buy an engine. I called JEGS & ordered a 383 stroker motor from "Blueprint" thought it was a good idea/NOT. I put it in a 1969 Nova. It came with a smashed valve cover, but Jegs replaced it. No need to make a warranty claim. It ran great for a week & then it started smoking BAD. It was burning oil 3 quarts to 60 miles. I called Blueprint & they made a claim & told me to replace the pvc & it did not work. After several calls finally they said ship it back. I sent it back & they inspected it & told me abrasive materials had been run thur the motor. The warranty is Voided. I talked to "Ken" he was very rude & said I drove it with out an air cleaner & that it was my fault. They could sell me a new engine for half price but I already purchased an BAD engine from them, it was not my fault. What can I do now? They have now ripped me off. I don't have the time or $$ because I have to work . But I need a motor that works properly. I would say if your looking at buying an engine, Please don't buy an "Blueprint" engine.

I ordered a pair of Moog sway bar end links for my 2003 F350 SuperDuty. I double checked on their web site to make sure it was the right part. Their website indicates it will fit the 1999 to 2009 Ford F250 SuperDuty and the 1999 to 2009 Ford F350 SuperDuty. They did not charge for shipping but did charge a $9.99 "handling fee". I went to install them and they were about 4 inches too short. So I called their customer support. They guy looks up my vehicle in his book on Moog parts. It turns out Moog does not make these parts for my truck. So I return them for a refund ($11.15 for UPS ground shipping) with the explanation that their website contains erroneous application information. They have credited me for the parts, but not the handling fee or my shipping. So their erroneous website, which they still have not corrected (the part number is 719-K80043), cost me $21.14.

I just got a phone call from JEGs. Seems they have had a change of heart and realized they should not charge a customer $21.14 because their website had erroneous information. They are refunding the $9.99 handling fee and asked me to e-mail a scan of my UPS shipping receipt for the return shipping so they can refund me the $11.15 for that too.
It's nice to see that some companies review what is going on and see if it makes sense.
