My best friend's father passed away on Saturday. I took him to the airport Sunday evening to fly from Seattle to Virginia. i was told the funeral was to be on wednesday. In reality it was done on Tuesday. My freind & I play in a Christian Rock and Blues band, and the band wanted to send flowers. I called Blooms today on Tuesday morning, and was told it was not possible to make a delivery the same day, although their web page boasts "same-day service" prominently. We had already missed the service, so i agreed to sending a living plant to the widow's home where i knew the entire family was gathered for a few days in support of their mother. Wed afternoon my cell phone rings, but no-one answers when i pick up. Then i recieve an email "to confirm cancellation of order". Hurriedly i checked my notes, and then called them. I was furious. the "customer service" person "was not comfortable" discussing their blatant ineptitude, but offered a 25% discount if i were to re-order, and assured me i would recieve a complete refund on my first purchase in 5-7 DAYS?!?!?! Exasperated, i tried to explain the situation in detail, and was told she was "uncomfortable" replying to my question, "you have a best friend, right?". i tried to explain that my ire was not directed at her personally, and i was trying my best to explain the situation....my original order that was cancelled (because they did not stock the specific COLOR of Azealea i had requested) was 57.00 and change. The re-order less the 25% discount was 53.00 and change. AND would not be delivered until TOMORROW (thursday)!!!!! I find it unconionable that debits take milliseconds to come out of my account, and deposits or refunds take 3 days to nearly A BLOODY WEEK to post to and from my account to begin with. Now in return for their inept and uncaring "customer-service", and a delivery that is now 2 DAYS LATE, Blooms Today has 109.00 of my dollars, and is delivering whatever is convenient for them to deliver, whenever it is convenient for them to deliver it 2 days after i asked fo5r it to be delivered, AND i recieve a 4.00 discount in a week, and NO APOLOGY from a cold fish of a woman who is Blooms Today's idea of a "customer service" representation of their compassion and caring. DO NOT patronize this company! Inept, impersonal, uncaring, and an insult to the concept of compassion. |
