I missed one of the text and am now being charged $9.99 for last month and now this month. I called my phone company and they are the ones that told me what this was and that i have been charged again next month. I will find a way to get refund on these 2 months some how.......

Did you find a way? They got me and I owe 19.98 on my phone bill. I don't know how this is legal when you don't even know what is going on. My cell phone provider gave me the number for blackout marketing so I could contact them, but it is a disconnected number.

I do not have text on my phone but just realized I had been charged $9.99 for the last four months. Called AT&T and they could credit me for 3 months back. They blocked a line that no one could put charges on my cell phone. Right--this is a scam!! I have no idea how it happened. Scum bags!! Black Marketing Inc

I just found out that I was being charged for some service from Blackout Mobile Marketing Inc. I too contacted AT&T, and they informed that I could ONLY get 90 Days (Three Months} Credit. I know that I did not subscribe to this service, and I had AT&T to stop any future charges.

I had a few words with AT&T last night. There was a $9.99 charge on my cell phone charges and it’s been there for 3 months now. It’s a service called something like “black market” something and I didn’t order it. When I talked to AT&T cell service the woman got mad because I wanted to cancel my service. She tried to say they would block all texts so I wouldn’t be charged anymore and that they would give me my service for $29.99 plus tax and service charges per month, coming to about $42.00 per month. Last month I used 34 cell phone minutes and have over 4, 000 roll-over minutes. That’s about $1.25 per minute. Not worth it! She told me they would credit the last 3 months of the $9.99 charge and I still said no. She then told me they would charge me $75.00 to discontinue because my contract runs until August and they would not refund my 3 months of $9.99 charges. Well, I very ‘nicely’ told her to disconnect my cell phone and I would never use AT&T cell again plus I will be posting on my site about the scam charges that they were collecting knowing they were scams. I told her that I went to their own site and they are the ones who tell people that the black market charge is a scam but they do it AFTER people call to complain. So, I have cell service with AT&T until the 20th and after that I’m going to Wally World and buy a Track Phone and pay for my minutes using their $30.00 for 300 minutes service.

I have received frequent texts from 68602. I have tried to always delete without opening, but apparently I missed one, or my little girl may have inadvertently accepted one. When I called AT&T, I found out that I've been "subscribed for at least 6 months! Whatever. I was stupid enough to accept paperless billing, and just pay my bill when I received electronic notification that I had a bill. What concerns me, is that AT&T is aware of them, but still allows the scam to continue. And for anybody about to say "... thay can't check everyone out." ... Shut up. You're stupid. They CAN check everyone out. And in fact, they apparently do, because they have a contractual agreement with these "3r party providers". In other words, AT&T gets a cut of every scam! How do I know this? Because I JUST got off the phone with AT&T, and that's what I was told! When I asked what AT&T's "cut" is, she didn't know. She only knew that there was an agreement with every 3rd party subscription provider. As an employee of one of the largest companies on the planet, I get a service discount through work, which is why I went with AT&T. I guess I could just switch service providers, but I think it would be even better to make as many of my 575, 000 fellow employees aware of this as possible. And I intend to start with those that make the benefit buying decisions. I wonder if there are enough of us for a class-action suit?
