I returned a Ionic Fresh Breeze Air Purifier in April 2010, in December I called because it started making a high pitched noise I returned the machine in December, didn't get another fresh breeze air purifier back until late January. I called within a week of having it back because the machine they sent to me was not the unit I sent to them, it was used and didn't work. I was told by Boyd (the owner) that he needed to talk with Anna (owner, wife) to see what was going on. Two
Weeks later I had to call and get a hold of Anna, at that point she said that she would send me out another insert because it may be what was wrong with the machine. I have not received anything and I have left over 5 messages that NO ONE has returned. I filed a complaint with the better business bureau for that area, they stated that they had sent me a part, they never did, and that they offered me an exchange, which they did not. If I received the part or was offered a machine, why would I have filed a complaint. I could not get them to return any phone call. I had a friend call from his cell phone which had a different area code than me, leaving a message that he was interested in purchasing from them, just 5 minutes after I left a message to please return my call so we could fix this issue, Boyd called my friend back within 10 minutes. I got on the phone and asked him what was happening and he said he would get me out the part right away, and promised that he would return my phone call and keep me up to date on what they were doing to resolve this. That was at least a month ago, with not a single email or phone call or part. Before Boyd got hurt this company seemed like a great company to deal with, now I receive someone else's broken unit, get promised to be sent something that should fix it, and don't and then not even one phone call is returned. THIS WAS A GREAT UNIT, I WAS GOING TO BUY AT LEAST 2 MORE FOR MY HOUSE, UNTIL THIS.

Below is a letter I wrote to Dustin Jones The Owner of betterlivingalpineair.com. If you follow the string down to the bottom of the letter you will see his original threat letter to me! This guy is selling low quality Chinese knock offs and selling them to unsuspecting people by calling these knockoffs by the trade names of the real units! This guy Dustin Jones and his company are low life scammers and you should stay away from his company!


Dustin Jones I'm not bad mouthing your company at http://www.betterlivingalpineair.com just the Ionic Breeze. Your not even selling the Ionic Breeze. Your selling chinese knock off Tower Air Purifiers calling them the Ionic Breeze and making money from the Sharper Image Ionic Breeze Name!

Also you should know that it was the Ionic Breeze that got Sharper Image in so many class action law suits against them for fraud it put them out of business! The new company that purchased the Sharper Image Name would not enjoy knowing that you are selling products that that they own the rights to and if you care to do your own research on these facts you will find that I am telling you the truth. You have already threatened to do harm to my business. I will have you banned from Goggle and your ISP. Don't think that this can't be done. Because it can and I will do this if you post anything to hurt my company! BY YOUR THREAT ALONE YOU ALREADY HAVE! I will also sue you directly since I know who you are!

Not to mention that I am also an Alpine/ Ecoquest now Vollara factory dealer and you are using the Alpine name selling more Chinese KNOCK OFFS which they own the rights to and I will report you to them as well.

NOTE: Its my right to give my opinion on any product on the market especially if the information provided is true!

So I am warning you! Your published threat is already enough to bring big trouble to you and I will commence to bring actions on you right away!

You should apologize for your threats and actions! You have just made a HUGE mistake and I don't bluff Dustin!

All of the above is true. I am another ex-customer. My unit caught fire. After several phone calls I was finally told to return the unit under warranty. A month later I rec'd an e-mail claiming the unit was damaged due to packing. No mention of a carrier (UPS) claim. The unit has never been returned and no answers from the vendor. They should return the unit if they are not going to service it as it is my property. Registered letters have been returned. NO response from them.

Hello, my name is Dustin Jones, I am the owner of Better Living LLC. The comments on this post thread are not true at all. We have tens of thousands of happy customers. We take care of any warranted problem. We send out parts when needed. We are a very busy business and may be guilty of being unorganized and overwhelmed with the volume of calls and orders we receive each day but thats about it. We offer the best prices and the best product on the net. If others want to bad mouth us then I guess thats there right. Sorry they are unhappy. The commment by Barry Cohen is just a competitory trying to hurt our business. He is upset cause we sell at a better price then he does, simple as that.

WE HAVE REPLACED OR REPAIRED EVERY ITEM OUR CUSTOMERS HAVE PURCHASED FROM US THAT WERE DEFECTIVE WITHIN THE 5 YEARS TIME LINE. WE HAVE DOCUMENTS TO PROVE THIS. WE HAVE CUSTOMER TESTIMONIALS TO PROVE THIS AS WELL.

Loron Holden, Your Air Purifier arrived all busted up by the carrier for poor packaging of the item. We informd you of this and offered you a deal on one of our Demo models. We cannot service a unit that is returned without proper packaging and is busted into pieces. The carrier would not cover any claim due to the fact the item wasn't packaged properly by you..Thank you! Dustin

Dustin. As consistent with your other actions there was never an offer made to us for a demo unit. You never answered letters and refused to accept a registered letter. If a demo unit offer was actually made please send me a copy and I will consider it. I have every document and notes of every conversation. Had this unit not caught fire and failed none of they should be necessary. Your return authorization was offered Sept. 2, if you will check your e-mail files from Anna it was stated that the unit was damaged due to packaging but no offer was ever made to a "Demo" unit. If for some reason you have lost my 9/23/2011 letter which was sent again via registered mail 10-28 to your PO box and was returned 11-18 as unclaimed by your company, I would willingly send you another copy.

I am still waiting for the "Demo" offer. It should be noted that the BBB has the following listing:
"We are disappointed to report that we have not received response from the company. This company is not a BBB Accredited Business and has not agreed to work with us to resolve complaints."
