I paid for a writing service to write a paper on procedural generation for my website. I ordered their platinum service and paid for both 10 of the top specialist in the field to write the paper and for a reviewer to review it. When I had received my paper it was full of grammar errors and I found that the entire introduction was basically a copy of the wiki page on procedural generation with the sentence structure slightly modified. All of the citations were not related to the sources. Not even proper MLA format was used. It was basically a sloppy plagiarized mess. I had requested that the paper be revised and the in text citations were still not fixed after I waited 24 hours. I then called customer service and the operator told me that he would personally speak to the writer to ensure that the citations were fixed. However, again when I received the paper after another 24 hours the citations still didn't match the sources. I once again requested a revision and waited but I read the terms of service and realized that I must request a refund from within three days of when I initially received the paper. So at this point I contacted customer service and told them I was no longer interested in the revision and wanted a refund in order to meet the three day requirement in the terms of service. The operator kept reassuring me that the terms of service were not right and that I could request a refund after 30 days. However, I knew this was not right so I still demanded a refund. After a lot of hassling they finally said they would process my request. I checked my email the next day and there was no notifications or anything to confirm my request. I contacted them again and requested that they send some type of confirmation that they had received my request and at what date they received it. Again they kept hassling me and even hung up the phone on me. I kept calling and eventually got them to send me an email confirming my request but they didn't include a date of when they received my request. After three days I got an email back saying that they understand that I am not satisfied and want to offer me a 15% discount on my next paper. Of course this is a completely ridiculous offer since I obviously never want to do business with them again. So yet again I called their customer service and after an hour of hassling they offered a refund of 40%. This is unacceptable to me because in every way they failed to provided the service which I paid for. The paper was completely unusable and they have stolen over $400 from me. Please see the wiki page on procedural generation and compare it to the paper to understand how much they plagiarized it: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Procedural_generation Also this is the paper I received: http://ovgl.org/ripoff.doc |
