Best Buy Bait & Switch Xbox Warranty Ripoff Richfield, Minnesota

Purchased xbox 360 in 2008 from Bestbuy with a 2 yr extended warranty. Used my warranty in November 2010 right before expiration. Two months later unit malfunction with a specific error code that would normally be covered under manufacturer ( Microsoft ). I returned unit to microsoft for repair only to be told that unit was tampered and modified internally which void any warranty and or repairs on this unit. I am out of my warranty with Bestbuy but I would never expect to receive a unit that cannot be repaired and tampered with , Microsoft informed me to take this matter up with Bestbuy. They refuse to do anything because my warranty expired.
Bestbuy has repeatedly told me that Microsoft is responsible and authorize all repairs of Xboxes purchased from Bestbuy, therefore Microsoft is responsible. I filed a complaint with BBB and demanded that Bestbuy provide me with actual proof that Xbox they swapped out to me me was indeed serviced by Microsoft. They finally admitted that the unit they returned to me did not come from nor was authorized by Microsoft. They told me because my warranty expired with them they are no longer obligated to replace/repair xbox. Bestbuy used the Bait & Switch Warranty Scam with me. They baited me with a promise to repair/replace Xbox with a costly 2 yr warranty. Had no problem with unit until 1 week prior to expiration of warranty, and switched me with an inferior replacement the was tampered and violated according to the manufacture(Microsoft) thus voiding their warranty as well.
I know I am not the only one this has happened to.
Shame on Bestbuy. I hope someone will seriously look into this matter and perhaps start a class action suit !!!
