I hired Bergen Limos for my wedding on Friday July 29th, 2011. I went to see the limos and spoke with a woman named Sophia who seemed very nice and sweet at the time. She showed me the pearl white Escalade and the black Escalade which I hired. I thought it was a great idea that both the bridal parties were in matching Escalades. I previously looked at five other limo companies and knew exactly what I wanted by the time I got to Bergen. Both limos showed up on time at their starting destinations, HOWEVER, when the ladies got into the limo the driver would not leave until the other driver (at the grooms house) got paid the rest of the money in cash even though I already put down HALF of the money so one limo was covered. I wanted the ladies to arrive at Glen Island in New Rochelle, NY first so we could freshen up and get settled before I saw my husband for the first time and took pictures. I had to wait OVER an hour before he left and he was EXTREMELY rude the whole time. Secondly, our limo was supposed to be stocked with ice and champagne and had NEITHER. I had to bring my OWN ice which is absurd for a wedding. Third, the radio did not even work. They had no IPOD holder, only CD, which is okay if they would have told me that when I asked I would have been prepared. The radio only played three stations. NOT MY music of choice either. Fourth, the guys limo(black) had all of the same problems from a VERY RUDE driver to no radio or bar stocked but they DID NOT have air conditioning!!! What limo company sends a limo FOR A WEDDING especially that has no air conditioning on a summer day when the weather is over 90 degrees. The men did not tell me this or I would have told them not to pay the guy but my husband and his parents did not want to upset me anymore! Their limo was also not nice inside at all. It looked like they gave us a backup limo instead of the one I was supposed to get. I was SO excited for these limos to be in my pictures and everything. I kept telling everyone we got such nice limos and it turned out I did not use the limos at all in my pictures because that is a memory of my wedding day I DO NOT want. The guys showed up hot and sweaty before we even took pictures. I have NEVER complained about anyone like this before but still after my honeymoon and everything I can not get over how badly these people treated their costumers. My mom called the day of the wedding while we were sitting in the limo patiently waiting to leave and spoke to Mike and HE WAS very rude. He hung up on my mom. I called back five times after throughout the week I got back from my honeymoon to talk to him and complain and to try to work something out and he kept telling me that he was not near a computer which is a lie because I called his office and what office does not have a computer and he never called me back. It's unfortunate that I have to go this far. We paid a lot of money for a service that we did not get and it is the one day in your life you cannot get back! Between Mike being so rude and the drivers I hope NO ONE ever uses them again! If I can save one person from making this mistake I would be happy! I also want to mention that the drivers had no problem reminding me of the time we had left with the limos even though we wasted an hour and a half sitting in my driveway!
