Barry Kadish and Mike Dawson present themselves as being the "collective" minds behind a project in maywood called Soldiers Corner. They claim to have the mayor ear and have control of this great investment project. They want you to invest $3 Million dollars into their "project" at Lake and 1st ave in a renovation deal. That includes a number of commercial buisnesses, a "jazz" themed resturant, high end "green" technologies. They will not invest any of their own money (which they have none). They claim this project was just approved Nov 2010. When in fact the actual RFP by the City of Maywood was sent out in August 2009. They have a great speach, however the minute you start poking holes in the package and telling them the numbers are falsified and not realistic, they begin to give excuses why meeting with "city leaders" start getting canceled. They want the project done their way but they want 25% of gross profits. Remember they wont put any money in the deal. They expect you to use the restaurant operator "the Clean Plate Group" they want a $800K build out but again its all your money. They will ask you for a "letter of Financial Worth", after you give them that Barry and Mike then want your Personal Financial Statements from your CPA that have been audited, both from your company and your personal. This all before you can even "talk" to the mayor about acquiring the building. These guys are a joke and pass themselves off as a Development Group. Turns out Mike Dawson has no development experience and actually owned a failed movie restoration company that went belly up. Barry Kadish is a Real Estate agent in the city. They are looking for some sucker to have them use all their information and assets to complete a "pipe" dream and when the project goes south they walk away and you are left holding the bag.
