Dear CHALREY AKESTER,
We have checked our records and we've noticed a similar email message received by our support department from you on 2012-01-04.
As stated in the PayPal invoice you have quoted here, as well as in our detailed explanation following your email complaint, the charge in discussion represents the renewal of your original software license. Please note that renewal notifications for this product are being sent 7 days before the actual license expiration date so that even if the customer has some changes in mind he would have the necessary space to update his account settings accordingly. It's also worth mentioning that the renewal type for your license can be changed or deactivated completely either by accessing your Avangate myAccount or by simply contacting our 24/7 support department.
Moreover, in case you decide to cancel your order (be it a purchase of a license renewal or not), Avangate can help you in that respect by forwarding your request to the Software Manufacturer in order to ensure a timely resolution for the respective issue. In your case, this step is already in progress and we're currently waiting for the Software Manufacturer to respond to our notification. As soon as the refund authorization is provided, Avangate will initiate the transfer of the aforementioned amount back to your account.
In the hope that your concerns have been completely addressed, we kindly invite you to use our direct contact details located here http://www.avangate.com/company/contact.php should you need further details on this or any other subject related to our services.
Best regards,
Avangate Support Team

Wow what a joke. They are stealing your ID and pretending that it is some form of verification process. Even if you pay with a CC. "we need a copy of your ID and Bank statement? Hell no, sounds like you are harvesting identity fraud to me. I would recommend sending a message to the FBI, SEC and DOJ and see if they can hold water to them. If you would like to know they are out of the Netherlands and GoDaddy is the host. Send a message to them to pull the site down. Welcome to how e commerce really works. Off to my favorite three letter organizations. |

Beware of Avangate - I downloaded the software, pay for a 7 day trail, and I am pretty careful about the fine print, do not see any notification about "by the way after 7 days we are going to charge your for one year". The software came with some lovely tracking software, which did all sorts of things to my computer and re-arranged my Google Chrome Search Engine. Finally removed all the software, thought it was all over and then I receive an email saying my order had been process and now I was being charged for a one year membership, which is ironic and when I check further and enter my order number etc to cancel, I am told my subscription is already cancelled, which I thought I did last week when all the problems first started to happen. Do not use this website, have nothing to do with it, check our their process to get a refund - good luck finding the procedure and the link on the website for how to go about doing this - and note their email address is a gmail address... Have already reported them to my bank for Fraud. |
