Automotix LKQ BEST AUTOMOTIVE Sent wrong part, correct part never sent, credit card charged, Internet |

Ordered used Jeep drive shaft 6/13/11 from http://www.automotix.net, a.k.a. http://market.autopartsfair.com, a.k.a. LKQ Best Automotive, phone 281-444-5559 in Texas. Credit card charged 6/14/11 @ $150.40. Numerous vendors supposedly had used part so selected one in Washington State (nearest my home) so part would arrive sooner. Received email on 6/15/11 that part had shipped via UPS. 6/21/11 part received from a place on the east coast - not Washington. Part received was the wrong one so phoned AutoMotix who said they would arrange for UPS to pick up wrong part and have a replacement part shipped from Oregon. Was given a new invoice number but no new order number. Over the next several days, tried to get update via the Internet but with no new order number, was unable to find anything. 6/23/11 and 6/24/11, made several phone calls for update on status of order as part should have arrived but it had not. Was placed on hold for nearly an hour; transferred 5 or 6 times, disconnected numerous times, and left a multitude of voice messages to no avial. Filed VISA claim with bank today and bingo, got a call from seller stating the replacement part was damaged but no one told them so another replacement part was supposed to be shipped but it had not been shipped either. Really? Are you kidding??? Bottom line - this company has been in possession of my hard-earned-cash for 2 weeks and I have nothing to show for it. Very unprofessional staff. When finally got to talk to someone, there was a bunch of loud hooting and hollering in the background. One moron kept calling me, "Boss" - classic prison jive. Stay away from this place! |

I was lucky enough for Autopartsfair.com/LKQ to screw up before I confirmed checkout. They had coupon codes at http://www.ultimatecoupons.com/coupons/auto_parts_fair_coupons.htm, which were not applied as stated, during checkout. So, I called autopartsfair.com, which was the site I was on, to speak to someone concerning the issue. I was surprised to find out that the number from the autopartsfair site connected me to LKQ. When I spoke to the rep, and I explained the situation, he told me that this was not autopartsfair and had no affiliation with them and no coupon codes online! He told me I must have dialed the wrong number. I told him NO, this IS the right number for autopartsfair because i'm looking at it on my phone right now while I'm talking to you. He hung up on me. I called back several times to speak to a supervisor, and each time I was sent to a voicemail or disconnected. Do not trust this company. I believe that they are using crooked business tactics and are unethical. At the very least they are extremely ignorant and unprofessional and should not be trusted with your money. BUYER BEWARE!!! |
