Auto Extended Care
Auto Extended Care Dean Sansone and Associates scam no refund bbb f rating theft Colleyville, Texas
13th of Mar, 2011 by User809256
On April 20, 2010 I purchased an extended warranty from Auto Extended Care in the amount of $1,549.00. In November of 2010 I sold the vehicle that the warranty was issued on so I submitted a request to cancel the warranty. Auto Extended Care acknowledged that they received the cancellation request on December 2nd 2010 and said it would take up to 8 weeks for it to be cancelled and for a refund check to be issued to me. I contacted Auto Extended Care on February 7, 2011, and was referred to Dean Sansone. Dean Sansone acknowledged that the warranty had been cancelled, but that he was waiting for the money to be "wired" into his account. He stated this happened on Wednesdays. He did not believe it would happen on that Wednesday, but stated it would likely happen on the next. He stated he would contact me when he processed it. I waited another two weeks and heard nothing back from Dean or Auto Extended Care. On February 16, 2011, I contacted them again and was transferred to Dean Sansones voicemail. I left two voicemails on the 16th and received no call back. I called again today, February 17, and was immediately transferred to his voicemail again. At this point I filed a complaint with the BBB located out of Ft. Worth. After a month of trying to get ahold of them, I received notification that my complaint had been closed. This is what they said: "We want to take this opportunity to thank you for allowing us to serve you and to keep you informed of the status of the complaint we received from you. We have made three attempts to get a response to your complaint. However, one was not received. We regret a solution to your complaint did not occur. At this time we find it necessary to close the complaint which will be reflected on the company's public report for three years from the date of closure." I have tried contacting the company countless times now and I have received nothing in return. They take your calls, they confirm your information, but Dean Sansone never returns anything. You can leave as many voicemails as you like but they return none of them. This company has stolen money from me that I will likely never receive. Unfortunately it doesn't appear that I'm the only one as the link below shows two other people going through the same thing as myself: http://local.yahoo.com/info-64261390-auto-extended-care-warranty-colleyville They are known as Auto Extended Care but are ran by Dean Sansone and Associates. Auto Extended Care's BBB ranking is currently at a B-, but if you look at Dean Sanson and Associates you know the real story: http://www.bbb.org/fort-worth/business-reviews/auto-warranty-plans/dean-sansone-associates-in-colleyville-tx-202426711/#rating Please don't ever use this company. They screwed me over.

I 110% agree!!! I haverecently experienced a similar problem with Extended Auto Care.com and David (or Dean). Five days after I purchased their extended auto care plan, I called to cancel the policy. I sent a certified letter as requested in their contract. They would not refund my credit card or return any phone calls or emails. I have since discovered that they have changed their phone number and are apparently still operating business as usual. After filing a dispute with my credit card company, I did get my money back. However, I would strongly advise anyone DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY! -- W.V.

I was assured by the person on the phone who sold me this warranty that if I had a mechanical breakdown I would not have to worry because it would be taken care of. WHAT A JOKE AND WHAT A FOOL I WAS TO FALL FOR THIS ONE. I have made every effort to follow all my obligations and it did not matter because the problem I have is NOT COVERED even though on your website it clearly says that it is unless there is driver neglect. Well, even though that was not the case, I am still not covered (you don't do radiators or head gaskets) so this repair will cost me about as much as the warranty cost me. I AM FURIOUS but I have learned a lesson here and I will beware of scams on the internet from now on and will try to warn as many people as I can about this company. It is also not possible for anyone who is not a mechanic to read this contract and understand what is and what is not covered. But if I were a mechanic I wouldn't need a warranty to begin with, would I? Well, the jokes is on me.
