On 1/31/2011 I dropped off my van at Auto City located on 4700 E.Indenpendence Blvd to fix leak under my van with warning sign showing on the odometer, replace my bumper, replace two oil pans(transmission pan & oil pan), replace light switch got burn out to be replace, fix startic on the radio. Their actual estimate came out to be $1,674.46. My Insurance paid it and ask me to pay $500 deductible which I paid to them. on 02/11/2011 in addition there was about $256 insurance issued to me which was from first estimate given to me by another shop where I first went and turned that in to the insurance that resulted in this amount. That shop refused to complete complete the protocal required. Their estimate was informed to the insurance claim adjuster who instructed me to ask Auto City to turn in the sublimental estimate with the picture which the did lateer. Auto City kept my van for almost two weeks and half claiming that the delay came from ordering the parts from California(the bumper). I went there on about 4 occasions for the repair that was not right, on the forth time the seized my van for lack of payment from my insurance and Benjamin Auto City manager told me he can only release my van if I pay the balance owed by the insurance. My lady who was with me that day got angry and called police for intervention, but we ended up by paying the balance even my insurance claim adjuster was on the line and explain that they did not get the picture of the sublimental estimate and when the did they had to examine that. That was the delay and that they check is on it's way. The police officer encouraged me to take my van to somewhere else, and to pay what ever is owed to them. I agreed with the officer's advice. I asked Benjamin of Auto City if they took care of my van repair his answer was yes. On 2/28/2011, my family took the van out of town for a day and half on the way back the oil warning sign came on again and the the leak. It was on 03/18/2011 when I took the van for a complete check for the leak at FIRESTONE AUTO SERVICE STATION I discovered the transmission pan was not replaced it was the gasket the was replaced, and the oil pan looks old doesnot look like it was a replacement but the gasket looks like a replacement, for the leak it was from oil pressure sensor. Firestone replaced that and charged me for labor and parts as well as diagnostic test,($151.96 + $99.00) All of these came out as a result of Auto City not doing a good job on my van. Please note if there is a way you can help me get part of my money or the whole of my money I will deeply appreciate that. I've records of all my expences and are available upon request.

Yeah, I won a "no reserve" car on ebay from Auto City in Charlotte, NC. I think the bidding ended too low because, although the ebay listing said, "title in hand" the seller from Auto City conveniently did not have the title. I contacted several times and he pretended to be concerned but then I never heard from him again. I ended up buying a car from a local private seller. Not happy at all with Auto City Charlotte. |

Auto city is nothing but scammers ...we bought a 2002 nissan altima and the very next day the check engine light came on ...we brought the car back in they said they fixed it ...one day later the light is on again ...we take it by autozone to have them run the code. The catalytic converter was bad and they did not fix anything altho they just sold us the car they simply turned the light off. In addition to that the seat belts were all broken and they did fix those after waiting a week . DO NOT BUY A CAR FROM AUTO CITY THEY WILL SELL YOU A BAD CAR AND THEN REFUSE TO STAND BY THEIR PRODUCT! |
