this is the chat I had with customer service trying to find out if my phones have shipped I have no way to call them now as I let my other service expire so as to change cell providers. This has been a nightmare it has been 4 days since my online order all 3 numbers have ported over and are confirmed, but when I check order status to see if my phones have shipped an error message comes up and I can't get anywhere. read below the type of service i got today monday 5-16-2011 Please wait for an AT&T Representative to respond. You are now chatting with 'Jackie Dawson' Jackie Dawson: Hello, I am Jackie Dawson. I will be assisting you today. Jackie Dawson: How can I assist you today, Ms. Wood? lisa ****: I need to find out the status of my online order for new cell service lisa ****: ?? Jackie Dawson: You can track your order online at the order status page located at https://www.wireless.att.com/order_status/order_status . lisa ****: no you can't Jackie Dawson: Are you getting an error message? If so you will need to wait until the error is cleared. lisa ****: OS001: We apologize for the inconvenience. We cannot complete your request at this time. Please wait at least 24 hrs from placing your order, before checking the status of your order online. If the problem persists, please contact us for further assistance. Jackie Dawson: Did you place your order less than 24 hours ago? lisa ****: i placed the order early thur morning and i can't get any info Jackie Dawson: How did you place the order? lisa ****: online lisa ****: and i have no phone service 2 callanyone Jackie Dawson: You can contact our online orders department by phone to get more information. You can reach them at 1-866-391-0749. lisa ****: i have NO PHONE Jackie Dawson: Unfortunately, I do not have the ability to check order status as this is the porting department. I advise finding a way to contact them, Ms. Woods. Jackie Dawson: If you don't have phone service on your other phones you would need to contact the old service provider. lisa ****: THATS Y I CHANGED 2 U GUYS' Jackie Dawson: Did you transfer your older numbers to AT&T because they would need to be currently active with your old service provider to transfer to AT&T. That may be why we cannot complete your order if they're not active. lisa ****: YES THEY HAVE BEEN CONFIRMED lisa ****: AND SWITCHED lisa ****: I NEED 2 KNOW WHEN 2 EXPECT THEM Jackie Dawson: Your service is not disconnected during a port unless you have received the new AT&T phones and activated them. If your old phones are not currently working that is because your old company has disconnected them and if that is case it does not matter that we received a confirmation perviously they will not transfer to AT&T if they are not activate when you receive your AT&T phone. Also, the only way to check your order status if you are receiving an error online is to call the order department by phone at 1-866-391-0749, Ms. ****. lisa ****: I AM COPYING THIS AND POSTING THIS lisa ****: THIS IS RIDICULUS Jackie Dawson: Okay.
