I advised Aspen Fitness I needed to cancel due to my complications from Cancer, they said to wait until 6/16/11 or pay a $200 cancellation fee. In June I went in to avoid their unscrupulous fees and they said..oh, we meant July 15, 2011. I go in July 15 and am told it is July 16, 2011. Today I am looking at my credit card statement and they not only charged my card, but a fee 4x the original monthly pyt after I was specifically told I would have no more charges...many times. Everything must be done in person with them too. If you try to call the corporate office, you never get a live person and the voicemailbox is always full. They also have such fine print in their contract it provides multiple loopholes to charge unfounded fees continuously. This Fitness Center is all about sales, not service, and do blast marketing that is not what you it seems to be after you talk to them. I do intend to contact local media, the Attorney General's office, Better Business Bureau and others-to make sure innocent folks are not being misled down this horrible marketing scheme, thinking they are getting real fitness training center assistance. I was just willing to let this go, but after I followed their last instruction-only to have my credit card charged again...enough is enough.
