Called what I thought was a local company to see if they could send a tech out for my oven and my dishwasher. The tech came and said the oven needed a thermostat. Couldn't get it so had to check it out and would get back to me. Fair enough. Onto the dishwasher. It worked for him right off the bat. I told him it wasn't working for me at all. He laughed at me a bit and opened it and tried again and it stopped working for him. I told him some screws came out of the mounting and maybe that was the issue. He said the panel probably slipped the controls and I had to feel around for the button to click it. It worked again for him. He said when I got tired of feeling around for the button to call him and he'd put a new board in. He threw in some cleaner (I thought as a courtesy) and $90 later, he was gone (well $115 total for oven diagnosis too). So later, I went to use the dishwasher and NOTHING. I felt the button (which did not move but was still where it always was) and it clicked but nothing went on. I called them and he said for an additional $190 they could come out and fix it. I already paid $90 and wasn't about to pay a total of $28o for a dishwasher we paid $450 for. Esp. since I didn't trust his diagnosis cause he never opened it up. He said he will refund part of the $$ but not all of it. I told him he didn't fix anything and the manager was so rude and condescending to me, basically telling me he had no time for me. Also, the dispatch guy quotes me one price and then the manager says he was wrong etc. Just felt he was being dishonest. He kept saying he was not a "used car salesman" and I laughed in my head b/c my dad owned a used car lot for years and I am onto those games. No way. Never again.
