Ripoff Report Verified™ REVIEW: EDitor’s UPDATE: Positive rating and recognition has been given to for its commitment to excellence in customer service. Ripoff Report’s discussions with the company have uncovered an ongoing commitment to total customer satisfaction. You can expect to have any questions or concerns that you have with them to be answered and resolved in a timely manner. They have shown us their customer service process, and it reflects a desire to serve customers, as well as fix problems. The company's management specifically told us about how their job is to simplify lives and help people to live intelligently. The management really wants every person who buys a system to feel valued. The concern for each customer's experience starts at the top, and is reflected in the action of every employee they hire. The company also works to monitor their sales and customer support calls to see how they can be improved. They use these calls as examples for employees in training. Currently, Vivint is working to make changes to their contracts to make things easier for their customers as they have found that many of their complaints stem from feeling misled or customers paid fees they did not feel they authorized. Ripoff Report Verified™ .. part of Ripoff Report Corporate Advocacy Business Remediation & Customer Satisfaction Program.A program that benefits the consumer, assures them of complete satisfaction and confidence when doing business with a member business.. We have simplified our customer service process to decrease the amount of time that a customer has to wait before speaking with a representative. Our customer service will look at your contract, listen to recorded phone calls, and make sure to get to the bottom of your issue to resolve things THE RIGHT WAY. We want customer's to have a positive experience, and we understand that sometimes customer's fall on hard times. We're willing to work with all of our customers. Their experience and safety are our primary concerns. As a matter of policy, when a business becomes a member of the Corporate Advocacy Programthey agree to allow Ripoff Report to contact every client who filed a complaint so they can make things right with them. In order to confirm that the complaints were resolved, Ripoff Report is copied on all responses so we can insure that the member business did right by their customer.. NOW TO THE ORIGINAL REPORT THAT WAS FILED ----------------------------------- Apx Alarm/ Apex Alarm/ SAI Alarm/ Castlerock Alarm **Deceptive sales tactics** Wouldn't take no for an answer** Had installers come within minutes!!! West Provo Utah PLEASE report them to the FEREAL TRADE COMMISSION at 1-877-FTC-HELP. The FTC cannot do anything without MANY reports. As others mentioned, the salesman came at dinner time on 6/21/08. I said I wasn't interested, but he wouldn't leave until I said yes. I realized that once the system was installed, I'd be entered into a contract. I'd signed just to get the salesman to leave, intending to cancel immerdiately. But he must have been texting the installers, who rang my doorbell. The salesman let them in & promptly left. I screamed at them to leave & stop drilling. I was told by the salesman that the unit just "sat on top of my door frame". I told them not to touch my phone line, they did & my phone no longer worked. Prior to that, I told them I'd call the police if they wouldn't leave so they blocked me from my phone. When they left, I called the company complained about this & asked the representative to send them back to uninstall, but "they were done for the day". I read the contract & knew I had 3 days to cancel. The rep said they never receive cancellations on time. I unplugged the system, took out batteries, etc. I completed the cancellation form & wrote a letter. I faxed it from 6 different places & went to the post office & sent 2 express mails, 2 delivery confirmations, & 1 signature confirmation. I called my bank and closed my account. I filed complaints with the FTC & Better Business Bureau in UT. They got all my cancellations & removed the eqiptment several days later. Several days ago, I got a letter from Telecheck & TRS (debt) Recovery Services. I'd been receiving odd phone calls just stating my name & a number. The number matched the number on the debt collection letter. They stated I owed a $39.99 monthly fee & a $30.00 bad check charge & that they'd reported me to all banks, credit unions, credit reporting agencies, etc. I spent over $30.00 faxing them proof of all the faxes and mail 'd sent over a year before cancelling my contract the same day I'd entered into it. I called the FTC & updated my report. Obviously they are more than unreputable. PLEASE call or go online & file a report with the FTC. We need to get this company, who now has new names, to get put out of business. Kathy Reading, Pennsylvania U.S.A. |
