We called Appliance Repair Experts, also known as AA Appliances Repair
Services, Inc. of Alexandria, VA on 11/19/10 because we needed to get our
Kenmore built-in microwave repaired. It
needed a new magnetron.

This company was listed in our local Super Yellow Pages and their full-page
ad falsely stated that they were a member of the local Better Business Bureau
(BBB). In reality, this company is NOT
a BBB member and the local DC metro area BBB has assigned them a richly
deserved grade of F, based on 29 complaints filed against them.

They came to our home the next day and told us
that the built-in microwave had to be taken to their shop to be repaired, and
that they would call us the next day with a repair cost estimate. They took our microwave and then never called
us. We paid them a $39.95 "service
fee" by credit card on 11/23 and told them to return our microwave to
us unrepaired. We then spent the next THREE
WEEKS calling them repeatedly to get them to return our microwave. We finally had to retain a local
lawyer to threaten them with legal action to get our microwave back.

They finally returned the microwave on the
evening of 12/10.

They did not perform any services, other
than to "kidnap" our microwave for three weeks.

We then called another appliance repair company
that replaced the microwave's magnetron IN OUR HOME IN 30 MINUTES for $175!!!

This company'sactions caused problems for
every member of our family for 21 days. At $25 per day ($5 for each member of our family), they cost us $525 of unnecessary aggravation, not to mention the time I spent calling these idiots and various consumer agencies.

My advice to everyone who reads this is, DO NOT CALL THIS COMPANY FOR ANYTHING!
