Any Hour Plumbing Don't Be Fooled by Family Picture on the Side of Their Trucks! Internet

We responded to a $49 coupon to check our air conditioner. The technician said our water heater was leaking and needed replaced immediately (it was a slow drip and not an emergency). We stupidly agreed without checking them out or getting bids. They charged $1994 to install a water heater we later found the exact model on the Internet for $428 retail! They charged $611 to replace a pressure reducing valve that we found on the Internet for $50 retail! (Who knows if we even needed that). They were gracious enough to give us a 10% discount and a 5% senior discount. What a deal! After checking with local plumbers, we discovered we could have received identical replacements installed in a reasonable amount of time for $800 less (and that is being conservative with our numbers). The company has this nice family picture on the side of their trucks and advertise "let our family help your family." I'm sure they live in a nice house, wear lovely clothes, have nice cars, and everyone loves them, but whatever they have is built on the backs on the sucker elderly, like us, whom they exploit. Several attempts to get a reasonable adjustment have been rebuffed. They think that responding to a NON-emergency is justification for an $800 overcharge. I'm amazed that Any Hour Plumbing can scam the elderly and justify their actions in their own small minds. Perhaps someplace dark and deep, some small forgotten place in their subconscious, they know they're wrong, but apparently the almighty dollar trumps ethics and equity. Welcome to the modern world. Our advice: don't deal with this company. There are excellent plumbers. You and Utah don't need Any Hour Plumbing.
