Tooele First Assembly of God responded to the very well advertised pitch on national radio, Rush Limbaugh, Paul Harvey, Michael Regan. We worked with the General for a period of time gathering information. We were impressed at the size of the operation the salesmen said they owned five plants located around the country.Then received the crisis call we had less then a week to put down a percentage on a building. We had not yet finished calculations on the costs so we could not project our need, that did not matter to the General our $10,000.00 would secure steel pricing on anything we designed.They really wanted to help us out. That was in May of 2005. In Novemenber 2005 after hours of interaction with our achitect and working at trying to reduce the cost down to what was initially projected we we sent another nearly sixty thousand dollars 1/3 of the cost of the building with the understanding we would have enginnered drawings for our facility in 6 weeks. The General advertises a building done quickly and for less. We were planning to break ground in January. The end of January 2006 there was no sign of any engineering drawings but several pages faxed from the "shipping department" with a new invoice. I had been lied to by our "project coordinator" the invoice had risen by another $50,000.00 In July of 2006 after reciving only partial drawings that did not reflect our building we elected to cut our losses and ask of a return of funds based on nonperformance. We were then given the only factual information we would ever recive from General Steel we would not be getting our money back. General Steel in trying to demonstrate performance had information sent from Star Systems in Oklahoma. They have a special accounts department for GS customers which makes me wonder about their complicity in the fraud. BBB in Colorado alledgegedly working on our behalf. Bill Tooele, Utah
