BEWAREof a Tennessee horse trader by the name of Angela Jones, aka Thunder Creek Farm. She preys on innocent, trusting, "beginner" type horse people to buy her horses. She buys these cheap horses at sales and resells, which I personally have no problem with as long as they are HONESTLY represented, and which I and several others have found to be not the case with Angela! She even has a "Testimonials" page on her web site, but you can be sure that she won't post the negative testimonials there!
Angela sold a horse to me that was advertised as being a beginner safe, husband safe, confidence building horse, and listed a whole pile of attributes/situations in which this mare was so good at, most of which were TOTALLY false! Not only does she LIE to make these sales, but in doing so, thoroughly ENDANGERS peoples lives, and their children's lives, but she seems to not have a care in the world in doing so. That alone speaks volumes of the kind of person she is!
I am not sure what the feed situation is like there, but the photos posted of the horse I bought from her were of a very, VERYwell fedhorse (likely taken right after she took the horse into her possession), but the horse I received was skin and bones, so much so in fact, that I even questioned it as being the same horse I bought, but being a pinto, the marking all matched!
Upon getting the horse home, not only was she thin, but she was also not as described at all, and would dance and prance, side-step, even reared up a bit off the ground. She was barn/herd sour and would not like to leave the yard even with other horses, let alone trying to go out alone!!
I told her she misrepresented the horse, and that I wanted a full refund, but of course, that was not to be. It was after that that I placed her name on my web site with the TRUTH about the capabilities of the mare, and she immediately tried to bully me into removing it, even threatening legal action. I informed her I already had seeked legal advice and I was well within the letters of the law to leave my web site as is and I was NOT going to remove it, and if she wanted to discuss it any further, she could contact my attorney. Of course, I never did hear back from her again, nor did my attorney.
So in my writing this, I hope it helps others out there to learn more about the people they are planning to buy from, or maybe already have bought from. I am more than happy to share all details of my experience with her if it helps anyone else out in their case against her!
There is a good site named horsetradertricks.com out there on the web that details these types of sellers and the types of people they prey upon. Angela's picture should be there as a definition of a horse trader! Now she has upped the anti, and must be trying to get out of being grouped into that classification, as I see now she has upped her prices from the $2000 range to the $6500, but please don't let that fool you...a crook is a crook is a CROOK!!!
SHAME ON YOU ANGELA JONES aka THUNDER CREEK FARM, LEBANON/NORENE, TN!!
