Ameriloan AML Harrassment, Wrong Number, Deceptive, Awful Telephone Skills, Miami, Oklahoma |
4th of May, 2011 by User906224 |
I have been getting contacted on my phone from the telephone number 800-371-9252 several times per day for a month now. They have asked for someone named Michael each time. I have requested that my name be taken off of their list, as I am not a Michael, nor do I know anyone named Michael with whom I am intimate enough for them to be using my telephone number. Each time I have asked, I have been assured that my name has been removed from the list, and yet the calls fail to stop coming. Tonight, I spoke initially with someone named Tom White. He went as far as to mention that I might be living with someone named Michael & fielding his calls. I told him to take me off of his list, and when I refused to hang up with him, he hung up on me. I redialed the number, and Tom answered again. I asked the name of the company, and he said AML. I asked where they were located, and he refused to tell me. He hung up. I called back and got someone named Bernard. Bernard told me that they were named AML, or Ameriloan, and that they were located in Miami, Oaklahoma. I asked to speak with his boss, and got hung up on. I called back and got someone named Dale. I asked to speak with Dale's boss, so I could file a complaint against the company and got someone named, Hal. Hal is apparently the supervisor of the night shift at call-bank-R-us, and was as lacking in his customer service skills as the sorry lot he's supposedly supervising. I again asked what the name of the company that's calling me is, and he said Ameriloan. He said that because I don't have an account with them that he cannot disclose any further information. I replied by asking why it is that he can't disclose information to me, but yet they won't stop calling me. He hung up on me, so I called back and got someone else, and asked for Hal. Hal popped into the call and said, "AGENT END THE CALL." I called back... rinse, repeat, etc... I got Bernard and Dale several times, a Jennifer, another girl, etc... Hal told me that if I don't stop calling he'd file harassment charges against me, and I told him I'd love if he tried, as I'd have a strong counter-suit with my call logs alone. Hal finally got fed up with my constant calling back and spoke with me (if you can consider atomiton responses "speaking") , and "assured" me that her personally made sure that my number was removed. I tried to ask again for a contact to file a complaint and he refused. I asked him if he was happy with his life, and asked him to please stop saying that he "appreciates [my] time." This company has the wrong number. They won't stop calling me. They are rude. They hire people with IQ's that are on par with that of a developmentally disabled eggplant that's been left in the sun to rot. I want them to stop calling me, and I want to know who I can contact there to file an official complaint with their extremely awful customer service and severely lacking business practices... Not that I honestly think that will resolve anything, but at least I'm trying? |

call your state's attorney general office and speak to the consumer complaint dept., also file a complaint with the Federal Trade Commission @ www.ftc.gov.
One other thing you will want to do is send AML/Ameriloan a letter that demands them to stop calling your number. If they receive a cease communication order in writing, and don't follow it, then you can hire an attorney and sue them for harassment. There have been consumers that have won over $1 million by a collection company harassing them. |
