| i recived mine today as well, decided to give them a call to see what kind of scam they are up to. they asked for my email, husbands name, and if our combined income was above 50k a year before taxes. Said they needed to book and apt with the travel agency located in middleboro mass. I said no I want to see everything in writting before I go to a 90 min presentation about the travel agency. he then back tracked and said he couldnt send the email out till I agreeded to a time. Just tell them you live 3 hours from the office and they will let you go. |

Got a travel voucher yesterday. Finally opened it and obviously it's a waste of your time and money to follow up. I saw the same scam with some slightly different details on a Fodors site dating back to 2011. They used to use "US Airlines" on the check. Now they use American. Old comments indicate the company claims its because they work with all us airlines. I called the number just to waste their phone and staff time. Gave them my voucher number with one digit changed and said I was Fred. Then gave them a slightly different voucher number. Asked why the name American and she said, "because we work with all the airlines in America." So I asked her if that's the case why were the vouchers only good at international airports. And how, by the way, did I qualify. She said she needed my real voucher number so she could tell me. Then she said she had a lot of people on hold, so I said, "I can imagine. Is it hard finding legitimate work and that's why you do this?"
Surprisingly she hung up on me. I'm hopeful that in the time I spent on the phone with her, one gullible person lost their patience with the hold music and decided to hang up. |
