DO NOT RENT FROM THESE PEOPLE!!! WARNING!!! IF it looks to good to be true it is!!! We wanted to move to a property in lancaster, when we finally met on move in day to sign the lease, the property looked like it did the day we first saw it. in a word, TERRIBLE! The property manager said she was sorry and that she had put in work orders to get the house cleaned. Well it was obvious to us that she never went to verify the work. Isn't that part of her job description??? She wanted us to move in and then have cleaners come in, then she wanted to reschedule. How can you clean chipped and scratched linoleum kitchen flooring??? Well you can't, and she had assured us it was being replaced only to be told that the owner did not have enough funds... really??? How much do linoleum tiles cost you may ask? answer, 4 pieces of 12x12 in a box for $1 at your nearest dollar tree. The stove's oven window was cracked, the fridge smelled terrible and had chips and bad patch jobs done to it (when we asked about it she said we could purchase our own or it would have to be something we had to live with). Also, the back patio floor was never finished as she had stated it would be. She stated it would be done in the next few weeks when we inquired about it on move-in day. There were wooden loose slabs thrown out there along with a tone of broken glass and dirt. How could my son play outside in that? The electrical outlets and light switches were black with dirt and god knows what else (we thought this too would be replaced or at least cleaned before moving in) We were not expecting perfection but at least a liveable space. Went to speak to head property manager who tried to tell us that the attic was not a bedroom (there was a huge hole in the wall about 5x5 ft covered up with a wooden slab, the carpet was coming apart and had stains all over, the window was not finished). Well let's do the math there are 2 bedrooms on the 2nd floor and a big room in the 3rd, the for rent sign said 3 bedroom house, so that would make it the 3rd bedroom. When we went to get our deposit back he didnt even acknowledge us and said to the property manager they're not for me (as if we werent in the room) she, of course, lied and said she was on her way out. we were in the car the same time she was in hers and saw her get out and walk in through the front door. well we did get our deposit back and if i never step foot in that office again it would be too soon. Also, their website is never updated. Horrible, horrible!! don't ever rent from them!!!! I will repost this everywhere to warn people not to rent from them. They think because they rent out crappy city apartments they can treat everyone like crap? They have it all wrong we don't need them, they need us! Tony, I feel for you. Thankfully we found out how horrible they are before signing anything. I hope you go on to the home of your dreams and don't stop spreading the word!!! |
