I hit a deer and my insurance company American freedom insurance in Arlington heights Illinois took 14 days to review the 2 estimates which were both close around $5300. After the 14 day wait they wanted to pay $2100 and make me go 40 miles to shop that had a dirty,disorganized office with dog crap on the floor! I spoke with the office person they wanted all used or aftermarket parts with no warranty except 1 year on paint nothing on parts?? I walked out and went to Lee Body in Aurora what a difference clean organized and professional they were able to get Chrysler to match the price of the aftermarket parts but refused the $20 an hour labor rate insurance willing to pay,I don't blame them going rate is like $45! I decided to go with Lee and recontact American freedom well they refused to pay anything over there estimate prepared by the dog crap shop JMJ in plainfield Illinois! I was left to pay $1387 out of pocket just to get my car back to what it was before hitting deer! I never had such poor customer service with rude attitude and left me waiting 14 days and feed me same line every time I called "I'll get with the adjuster and push it through" I heard that same line for 13 days then found out there is no adjuster they sent my original estimates to the crappy shop and told them to slash it to the bare minimum with cut rate parts and labor!!! SO IN SHORT AVOID AMERICAN FREEDOM INSURANCE IF YOU CARE ABOUT YOUR CAR!!! I hate to see what would have happened had I been injured holy h**l I would be screwed!
