All Points Accommodations CPPI Offering free Laptop-Hotel discounts for veiwing vacation oppertunities West Palm Beach, Florida
26th of Nov, 2010 by User915246
I received an invitation to view a vacation chance and was offered a free laptop and hotel card for $50.00 off. This was if I went and viewed a 60-90 minute presentation. I did this and was impressed by it , The presentation was good but more than I could spend which was about $5000 that night. They said I would still get the laptop and card. Then I got a letter-only after I called them and sent them the form given to me that night. This letter said to send them a $25.00 cetified check or money order and That I would also have to pay for shipping and handling not to exceed $60.00. This must be sent Certified mail only to CPPI P.O> Box 20329 West Palm Beach Florida 33416. By the time you get done you've already paid for half the laptop which is a basic 7" Skytex.
Apparently they figure why pay for this and most people wouldn't do it.This is a ripoff in my book-Nothing is free and so you shouldn't be allowed to say so. I guess we all learn you go with good intentions- and they rip you off.

Ditto. We were lured into a sales presentation promising a FREE laptop- it isn't a LAPtop it's a small 7" notebook. Just like the previous poster, we had to send in a $25.00 for an "activation fee." What is there to activate? It's a computer! Then, after sending in our money by certified mail, they sent us a form stating: "You are responsible for a processing/packaging fee and the shipping charges including insurance of an additional $59.95 along with the $25.00 activation fee that has already been sent in." If you do some searching on the Internet for this product, you will find that you can buy this product for $100. So, in the end, you're paying $85 for a $100 product. What a joke!

I had the same thing happen to me - except for a Magnovox Blu-ray DVD player. After the $25 "activation" fee and the $39.95 for shipping and handling, it would have cost $65 for something readily available for $90. Not at all what I consider free.

I filed a complaint with the BBB -- not that they can do anything about it, but that CPPI of West Palm Beach, Florida should not be able to advertise that these are free gifts.
